He was still so close! Only a spot ahead of us. He was the unicorn PF that could block shots and hit 3's that we've longed for. I'd feel a lot better about where this team was headed with Porzingis. Not that I dislike Hezonja; he was my 2nd favorite in the draft. But Porzingis is on another level and Hezonja plays a position we're already log-jammed at. Until the Magic find a guy who has the potential to be a top 15-20 guy, it'll be hard to breakthrough.

Haha, "do a Magic type rebuild." As if Hennigan wanted the number two pick in a weak draft and then wanted to be one spot away from franchise players two years in a row.

To be fair, I think Henny would have taken Dipo #1 overall in that class had we picked at the top. I mean, does anyone believe we covetted Anthony Bennett?

I'm loving what I have seen of KP so far. He and Vuc could have been fantastic together. That miss is hurting but like you said, it wasn't by choice. We can only pick from the players available.

I think Phil Jackson took KP just to **** with the Magic. It seemed like he really didn't give a **** who he got once Towns and Okafor were off the board. Picking a player that the team behind you wants is a good of choice as any; the fact that it was the Magic just made it all the better for him.

I have this conspiracy running that Jackson has never liked the Magic organization for some reason.
