But great news for Orlando. Kaka is still 32 years old and has a lot to give to the team.

As a São Paulo fan, I'm not that thrilled. He will spend only six months playing for us, it will be hard for him to actually help in such a short time.

Is anyone attending the game?

My son and I were there. It was a scoreless draw but great fun. Luis Fabiano left the field early. Ganso played beautiful touches for about 70 minutes before Maicon replaced him. I liked Lucas Evangelista and the central defender Lucas too (first time I saw him). Ademilson gave a nice dribble. Osvaldo ran around a lot and missed some shots. Pato had a good attack. Overall, though, SPFC was a bit bureaucratic.

Orlando City almost surprised them on the counterattack, but São Paulo's defense was solid. Antonio Carlos was pretty good back there. Sorry, I don't know the Lions players. I will though since I'm thinking of picking up season tickets for next year. They are a bargain.

I actually watched the game. Two sports chanells here in Brasil broadcasted it.

Ganso is one hell of a player. He's not the best athlete, he's not fast, but when you see him playing, it's obvious that he sees what others can't. Whenever the ball goes through him, something special happens. I love watching him play.

About the defender, you must be talking about Rodrigo Caio. He's pretty good, but he should be playing midfield, not back there. Lucas Evangelista also played out of position. In theory, he plays on the wings, but I don't like him at all.

Osvaldo pisses me off. The guy just run and run and run and nothing good comes out of him. It's crazy to have Pato on the bench while this guy plays. Ditto for Ademilson. Crappy forward who can't shoot.

Orlando could've won the game, had a few good opportunities, but it was crazy how many goals São Paulo missed.

Anyway, best of luck for you guys. I'll sure be checking how the team does. Whenever I go to Orlando again, I'll certainly try to watch a few games.

Thanks!

Yeah, it was Rodrigo Caio back there. And you are right about Osvaldo. It is also very frustrating to me.

Good luck to all saopaulinos in Brasil! I hope that Kaká helps us win the championship in 2014 and then comes here to rewrite MLS history. He deserves nothing less. :D

Paz e amor para vcs! Vai Brasil!!!

Kaka' to Orlando is official. Fans are being asked to meet him at the airport at 6 tomorrow. He will be officially announced at the US watch party on Tuesday. Great signing for the Lions.

Dutch media is reporting it this morning as well, so congatulations to the OCSC contingent on here. This should be a lot of fun. I hear Kaká will be rented to his old club Sao Paulo during the period before the MLS season starts. Anyway I hope he's happy to be in Florida, and that he receives a warm welcome.

Personally I think it's a bit of a shame that all of these former stars (Villa, now Kaká, and others before them) are leaving the top competitions in the world so early to go get a hefty paycheck. Historic clubs like AC Milan are still a lot more fun to watch with them in the fold.

Kaka will be working out and playing with Sao Paulo until January.

Massive news. He should get a great airport reception from the Ruckus and Iron Lion Firm supporters. They even have his flight number already: TAM 8086.

It'll be nuts on Wall Street on Tuesday.

Great signing guys.

Kaka is not at his best, but he's still an excellent player, above average.

I hope he helps us win the Brasilian title this year before joining you guys in 2015.

It'll be a lot of fun to watch Kaka playing in Orlando next year, looking forward to it.

The thought of a MLS team in Orlando is awesome. Just after what 2 years of the Lions playing here we earned one. Too cool

It's so awesome to get a player like Kaka. Such an exciting time in Orlando sports with all the young youth with the Magic and with all the stuff Orlando City has been doing as well. Their ownership group really has done a great job, got the team into MLS, got a new stadium, and now got a superstar, really well done.

I hope the rumors turn out to be true.

OC might sell a lot more tickets than expected in the citrus bowl

Who would be our 3rd designated player? Brek Shea?

I heard that OC 1st MLS home game will be on the 1st weekend of March.

The team is pushing for Saturday but MLS wants it on Sunday at 5pm in one of their designated time slots on ESPN 2. I'm Hoping for Saturday 7pm game

Also, for the first game their goal is 65k, they gonna open up all seating at the Citrus Bowl. I'm sure it will sell out.

The thing is, they will cap season tickets around what? 15k?

They will 40k to sell for the opening game. That's a lot but doable, especially on a weekend and with a lot of hype surrounding the team.
