I guess he missed the memo that they didn't beat a single AQ team or team with a winning record last season.

We did beat Georgia which is aq and sent them to their first losing season in a decade. I'm not arguing with us not being ranked... It's the fact Georgia is way overrated in the poll. It's a joke.

Yeah, but it isn't so much about what a team did last year, but what they should do this year. Otherwise Auburn would still be ranked in the top 5.

Georgia will be a top 20 team again this year........

Thank god football starts next weekend. Hopefully this storm goes more to the east.

Also.... I know Weaver is a big time team player but I'm surprised he's keeping up Harvey and Murray. It's nice having great depth at the RB spot. Just wish the same was for our WR's

Somewhat related... I wish the NCAA would require teams to play an even number of home and away games. It to me would improve the quality of football the first four weeks of the season and make for a more fair evaluation of teams for bcs ranking. Schools having 7-8 home games just because they can afford to pay these small schools to travel is a definite advantage.

In a perfect world where revenue was equal, yes.

Most teams operate or try to operate with 7 home games. Some years UF has 8......but for everyone to have a balanced home/road schedule would eliminate many of the low revenue programs from getting a big payday on the road (500K-1,000,000).

Good Point. I just wish it wasn't something schools could do EVERY year. I think it should be a max of 7 home games and that being every other year. While I feel for those lower level schools looking for a pay day, we need an equitable system for all teams. Road wins, even at a lesser school are not a given compared to these team always having home field advantage.

And our friends to the west can relate when we both played UF and they won't even discuss a road game.

Really looking forward to the season!

I think we're going to miss Bruce Miller's leadership on the defensive side of the ball but I really believe these Juco transfers Cam Henderson and Toby Jackson are gonna be beasts!! Jose Jose will also be a big help stopping the run too.

As for the offense we should be OK too. I know many people are questioning our WRs but JJ Worton is the real deal and Josh Reese isn't too bad either. We also need to get Quincy the ball way more often.
