That was me, and I'll keep on saying it - if all of NOH's incoming pieces are from Houston, then why the hell aren't Houston just taking Paul rather than Pau? Makes ZERO sense.
because they get the assurance of Pau being locked into a deal, whilst Paul has insinuated he won't resign in most places.
But they also have assurances of Pau being the wrong side of 30, overpaid and if last season is anything to go by, on the decline. I'd rather take my chances on a year with CP3.

So what's the latest skinny? What has Howard NOT committed to. Who have we committed to? Are we staying with what we got? What free agents are we going after? Who are we using amnesty on? What's the significance of BVW stepping down?

I'm going to repost this.
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/73294 ... -agreement
A new "renegotiation and extension" provision allows an existing contract to be renegotiated so the player is paid a smaller amount over a longer period, but the player's salary cannot decrease by more than 40 percent. Renegotiations previously could only increase a player's salary.

I will say this now and since it's on the first page I can refer back to it. I am most afraid now of CP3 going to Boston this week and Dwight signing there as a free agent in the summer.

Things are just really quiet from our end (as expected... Otis "Mr. Keep Cards Close to his Chest" Smith)
But patience is the key. Tomorrow the true frenzy begins.

Seems so. I am having a hard time digging anything factual out right now.

It's driving me crazy that there are no post-worthy rumors about potential Magic trades...

So is this the stretch or is this some sort of restructuring clause?

Source says Hornets thought they were very close to a deal to send Chris Paul to Lakers but then Lakers backed off. To be continued.
