The fact that Kendall Marshall leads this poll is entirely disgusting. Wake up Magic fans! Wake up.

Kendall Marshall is not as bad as most of you guys are making him out to be. The guy makes the right basketball plays & gets his teammates where they need to be. He was also shooting the ball extremely well late in the year before he got hurt. I was not high on him until he started to show that he can make jumpers consistently.

Now with that said he is not my pick, although I do expect him to be a good PG in the NBA.

I don't think he is going to suck or be a "bad" player, i just don't see that as being the right direction (playing style/ability) as far as our next potential championship core player as a fixture at PG.
A smart coach once said, "Potential just means you're not good enough yet." Playing on potential is like living on air: It's essential, but if thats all you have, you're eventually going to starve.

Calling him Kendall Duhon would've been a compliment had this post been made when we first signed Duhon in FA. I was bashing the signing and people were like "We haven't even seen him play in a Magic uniform yet!" "Give him a chance!" "Duhon averaged 8 assists per game!" blah blah blah...

Marshall is slow, unathletic, has no explosion, can't shoot, can't defend, and kinda looks like bird turd.

Why do you keep saying he CAN'T shoot? He proved that he can shoot from behind the arc. Last year he shot 35% from 3 on the season but in the last 17 games before getting hurt he shot 43% from behind the arc, & to say he looks like a turd you must just be a duke fan, which if that's the case your opinion doesn't count towards Marshall.

He may not have any lift on his shot but he has good form & has improved a TON over the past year. He will only get better.

As for the defense you are correct, he needs to improve big time, but when you have D12 behind you he makes you look a lot better than what you are. Meer was a BELOW average defender & we did pretty well with him running things.

The fact of the matter is Marshall is outstanding at pushing the ball & finding mismatches in transition which then leads to easy buckets & this team has lacked in that department for awhile now. Dwight loves running straight to the front of the rim & with Marshall pushing the ball & ACTUALLY FINDING DWIGHT (unlike in the past) Dwight could get a ton more easy buckets.

I don't know if it's safe to say this around here, but no, I'm not a Duke fan. I'm a Florida State fan.

He's not outstanding at pushing the ball.... He moves slowly. Dwight can't be the reason why we can overlook defensive weaknesses at the PG position... or ANY position for that matter. He can help on drives through the lane, but he won't help against jump shots.

I wondered why you cared to pick an arbitrary number like 17 to say the last 17 games he shot better. It's because in his 18th game he shot 1 for 5 from the arch!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!! He sucks, he has no confidence in his shot and 11 out of those 17 games he shot 0% from 3!!! OUCH!!! Take off the blinders. There's no reason to make an argument for him that makes him sound better than he is. He's not a Magic yet. LOL.

He is outstanding at pushing the ball, you don't have to be fast to do so.....just watch the tape. Meers defense has been excused for as long as he has been here on these boards because D12 was back there protecting the rim.

Like I said my top 5 are

PJ3
Miller
Harkless
Wroten
Teague

But I think Marshall will be a good player. Just gonna have to wait & see.

That top 5 is ok except I'm not on Wroten's bandwagon.

I do think PG is a top priority. If I'm GM, I'm tryin' like a hardass to trade up for Lillard or Rivers. If we stay at 19, then SF has more value and I go that route instead.

Lillard is my fav player in the entire draft, but he will be gone at 6 to Portland most likely.

Out of curiosity, to all the people who are hating on Kendall Marshall, were you thinking the same things about Rubio prior to him coming over this past year? (too slow, too weak, can't shoot, can't create his own shot, won't be able to defend, can only pass, etc.)

Second that, Lillard is going to be an absolute stud.
