Now, I can see Cleveland moving that pick. Possibly the 3-way with Orl-Cle-LAL picks up steam. Other than that, can't see any team in the top 5 helping facilitate a deal for Dwight Howard.

They were drunk on Russian vodka or something when they made that deal. That's pretty much the only explanation for trading a top 6 pick for Gerald Wallace.

Assuming logic has anything to do with what the nets were thinking, the best I can come up with is that Orlando was looking to make a play for Wallace and they wanted to block that from happening

Let's not give Stern credit for that ... it was the owners who complained and practically forced Stern to veto it ... Dan and Cuban's complaints/letters pretty much hit the nail on the head of what was going on... Stern was hooking the Lakers up... New Orleans was going to get screwed over... I'm happy for New Orleans.

That LAL, Houston deal would have kept them middle of the road. The LAC deal will help them long-term with that 10th pick and Gordon.
