Bah...the position is interchangeable imo. Dude is 6-10 265..He'll be fine at center.

He is 27 years old, so I don't know how much further he can improve. But, he sure did look good on one of the worst teams in the league last year. Well, in the last 5 games of the season, the games he had the most minutes, he had his best games. Looks like he can pass and block shots also.

Lakers stole Shaq, so Magic gave them Dwight!
I thought the Magic fired Otis!
Just change their name to the LA Sterns!

True, but what are you saying? Okay fine he's 250. But still I think he can handle most centers in the league. Like most players he'll have problems with Howard and bynum but on most nights we should be fine if he's playing center.

A bit surprised that this thread is not yet about Ayon's reported interest in pulling a Fran.
If he leaves for Spain in the off-season, that would have to be negotiation with Orlando, as FIBA respects NBA contracts and Gustavo's will be Orlando's in the coming off-season.
But this could bring up an interesting question: could an NBA team make a trade with a FIBA team? Something to ponder. Usually only cash is on the table. But why not more?

I think he can play both spots and we will be happy with him.
The Magic will definitely try to deal Al Harrington so they can free up minutes for the young power forwards.
Josh McRoberts will likely be moved and I would not be surprised if The Magic decided to use Ayon as a trade Chip around the Trading Deadline.
Now, that The Magic are in rebuilding mode, thy will always be looking to make deals to improve.

Yeah I'm trying not to get attached to any one player. I'm kinda surprised that they haven't already dealt harrington and mcroberts.

FYI. Harrington is about as untradeable as Hedo. Magic got screwed taking on this contract. They need to sweeten the deal like trading Harrington with JJ for an expiring or something as the only way to unload him.

Harrington isnt as untradeable as Hedo, especially as he actually contributes on the court. He isnt a head case that will complain about coming off the bench. He actually seems to have matured a bit in Denver and become professional about the game now. he has his warts in not being a good defender, but then there a plenty of players that are good defenders that dont have a lick of offense.

Harrington was one of the best sixth man last year, just because a player is over 30 doesn"t mean their useless

I think the concern is that Harrington is not know as a major contributor on defense, and the general expectation that Orlando's defense will be poor this year.
