A smart coach once said, "Potential just means you're not good enough yet." Playing on potential is like living on air: It's essential, but if thats all you have, you're eventually going to starve.

Been keeping an eye on Carr for awhile. Kid has game but I'm not sure if he will excel in D1 basketball. Overseas would be a great choice for him. He also has some serious baggage but I'm glad he is getting that charge with his baby mama cleared up.

I just hope he's not another "what-if" player that gets lost to Baltimore.

McLemore has started quietly vs. Iowa. Is it me, or does he just not seem to grab the game by the scruff of the neck enough?

Once again down the stretch, tight game, & McLemore wants NO PART of the ball.

2-6 with 4 mins left.

3 point game KU trails.

Yea a team will def take him in the 2nd round.....Never realized how tight his dribble was, until he became the man on that team this year.

He has the killer instinct I wish BMac had.

Elijah made Smart look a little silly with his dribbling last time they played.

Watching him throughout his career though, he is just a too inconsistent for me. Better players will be available in the 2nd.

So what'd McLemore end up with?

1st Draft work out with Smart, Rob should sit down with him and tell him:
-We scouted you, We want you to be our franchise PG, We ll have nelson mentor you, this is the best place for you, Noone else in the top 5 need a PG, so we guarantee you that we ll pick you at 5 if you pull out of all work outs with other team, no need for you to risk an injury we ll pick you with phoenix 's pick. we ll trade down our pick with Phoenix so we can get #5+#13.

This is the best move for him

PG: Nelson,Smart for them to share PG's duties (24 min each to start with)
SG:AA, ,moore
SF:MO+Harris,AL
PF:AN,BBD,AL
C:Vuc,KOQ

#15 we pick best player available

We need a PF/C defensive minded player
Grayson or Monk? Bring the cheapest

unleash Jett next seaon

The worrisome thing about Smart is his turnover rate, can this guy become a legitimate NBA 1? or are we ending up with a combo guard, in the video he himself says he plays like Wade
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

You guys know I was pushing for McLemore like crazy but I have not been impressed with how he's handled the media attention the last few weeks. I think I'm about to jump on the Oladipo bandwagon.

I agree I watched his last few games and I wasn't impressed with his point guard skills. I'm wondering will Michael Carter-Williams stock rise during the pre draft workouts
