Al Harrington Injury

It was originally reported that Al Harrington would be out until mid-November with his recovery from knee surgery. Today is November 15. Does anyone else think it's weird that we haven't heard a thing about him? Nothing about him working out, rehabbing, running, practicing, conditioning, trying to get back, nothing, and he was supposed to be back by now.

From John Denton on Nov 13th

#Magic JVaughn said team got positive feedback from Al Harrington's doctor visit. He still has not been cleared to return to BB activities.

Couldn't find much else though.

I think this team with the addition of Al Harrington and our young guns will be exciting

I almost forgot about this guy. Another able body to take away shots from Big Baby Davis. Hurry on back Al (even though you are a blackhole in your own right).

Didn't kyler tweet that Al hated coming here because he knew it wont be long till he'd play for another team?

He seems happy to be here to me. He was even rocking a throwback Magic hat in one interview.

No he said Orlando wasn't his first choice, but basically understands he can be moved to a contender

The extended version from the 13th:
Harrington update

Al Harrington met with his knee surgeon in Vail, Colo., on Tuesday for a checkup on his right knee, which was beset by a staph infection after offseason surgery to repair torn cartilage.

Although Harrington's visit went well, he has not been cleared yet for on-court basketball activities and will continue with his rehabilitation regimen.

This. Pretty sure Kyler just says what he's thinking and pretends he has sources.

I think Al will really shore up the bench dude is a straight up scorer and his game still holds up being that he doesn't rely on athleticism. Last season i believe he was in the conversation for 6th man of the year? plus it will all but erase McRoberts out of the rotation. Win/Win

He will also take AN's minutes... which sucks because Harrington isn't even in this team's long-term plans and could be gone by the deadline.

Still nothing? no news? prognosis said he should of been playing by now but he hasn't even started on court work yet

On Nov. 15, the media report was "no timetable for return." His doctor has not even allowed him to return to court duties. He thus seems weeks, not days, from playing.

Initial predictions had Harrington returning in late November. It was Harkless that was expected to be back in mid-November but he got healthy quicker than expected.

Harrington is clearly looking at December now. My guess would be after our 5-game road trip.

Also, Al likes Orlando. He was shopping for a new home here before he was even traded.
