It was nice to see that instead of SVG's system of letting Jameer get posted up by bigger guards.

BTW what the hell happened to Stuckey? Last year, Detroit would have posted up Stuckey on Jameer ad nauseam .

We needed Meer's penetration and passing tonight. If we can stay Healthy we'll be better than people expected.

Turnovers and Defense are a major concern going forward. Jameer being back got us this win just his veteran leadership helped a lot. Afflalo had a decent game and hit some clutch Free Throws. JJ was solid as well and had a big clutch shot but too many turnovers from him. Vucevic could of been better but he hit some shots to keep us in the game and had key assists. Baby played within the offense and he looked really good tonight even though he got yammed on a couple times. Bench play was pretty decent especially Nicholson he had some BIG blocks that wingspan helps lol. Good win a much need win

While I would rather get a high pick, its not the time to focus on tanking just yet. There are a few vets that we're probably going to trade before the deadline for future picks or young players. When the vets start to get traded the real tanking begins.

Jacque Vaughn: Curse breaker.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Andrew only credited with 1 block even though he clearly had 2. Blind scorekeepers.

Man every game that goes by, i love vucevic more and more. He might not be the best defensive center or anything, but the guy is going to be one of the best centers in the league one day, and might even be the best player we got back in that trade :o

I really liked what i'm seeing from Nicholson lately you can see that he's getting a bit more comfortable. Had some big blocks especially that sick block he had against Greg Monroe that was a straight up STUFF right at the rim. Imagine when he gets stronger and gets better with defensive rotations? he could be pretty good on both ends of the floor offensively he's already there and defensively he just needs to get stronger but you can see his potential as a shotblocker. It's primarily because of that huge 7'4 wingspan wish he got more minutes though

What part of his game do you feel will be elite some day?

I see a slightly above average backup with good/but not great rebounding, good/but not great passing, and good/but not great scoring. He is below average at defense and is a 7 footer that likes to play outside of the paint. I think he is a peg or 2 below Gortat.

He's a 22 year old big man with a lot of skill. He has plenty of room to develop, with the proper coaching.

hes also 6 years younger than gortat, he needs a lot of work no doubt, but hes still putting up numbers and averaging close to 11/10

I disagree with almost everything Thelead just said. I think he has a high ceiling and i think he deserves a chance to try to reach that potential. It's all on Vucevic to work hard to become a great player i swear man some people may be spoiled because of Dwight being our center for so long so everything else looks weak in comparison whether people are comparing without knowing. No Big in this upcoming draft class or the next one seems good enough to me to take Vuc's spot he's only in his second year and he's a project and only 22 years old let's have some patience. Let's judge him after another year of development

I'm loving the effort we get from Afflalo and Redick at SG every night. Also I'm happy Jameer is back... his veteran leadership, along with Glen and Redick's leadership, really helps propel this team through tough stretches. Hopefully when Harrington and Hedo get healthy, it'll add more stability and mental toughness to our offense and defense... I like that our team has a good mix of veterans and young players. I'm also liking the efforts from the young guys, like Andrew, Nikola, Moore, and Harkless.

Let's just keep getting better and developing chemistry at both ends of the floor. Go Magic!

Trust me guys, I want him to succeed but his defense needs a lot of improvement. That is what you NEED from your 7 footer. I am in no way saying he will never get it but he is so bad right now that I can't see him becoming a better than average defensive player especially with his vert (and even that is going to take a lot of work for him to get there).

I hope JV and the staff can get him where he needs to be though.
