This game showed just how important JJ is to this team. It's as noticeable as when we were without Nelson, if not more. We need both of those guys to compete even with the bad teams... otherwise there are too many moments of stagnated offense.

Lots of selfish and inconsistent play from multiple guys tonight. Big Baby had his bad moments, but it doesn't make sense to place the majority of the blame on him when our team as a whole looked like garbage. At least he put up a double double and had a better FG% than the rest of the squad, against much taller players, too. I can't believe he was the only starter to make a shot in the 2nd quarter (same for the 4th except for one bucket by Niko). Surprised Vucevic only had 6 rebounds, he's better than that. Afflalo sometimes looks like that guy who could score 20 every night, but he also disappears and as someone else said earlier he makes his shots much harder than they should be by crossing over, spinning and fading away on nobody. What is he trying to prove? Don't complicate it, aflac. He scored 9pts in the first quarter and didn't make a fg the rest of the way. That's not good enough from the guy who is supposed to be the best piece in the dwight trade. Can't really put much blame on Nelson either. He's still looking for his shot this season and hasn't had enough games to find it (27% fg). I'm just glad to see a lot of assists from him again, 9 this time. I'm convinced JOCK is being forced to play McBob for future trade purposes. Tired of seeing him make boneheaded plays and miss the gimmes. Nicholson's defense is suspect, but he should be playing at least 20 minutes as a backup. I wonder what JV will do with the F/C rotation once Harrington comes back...

I'll expect more from this team when Redick is back, also Hedo.

Got back a little while ago. Fourth quarter was ugly, but the Toronto crowd (and team) were rocking after the Amir Johnson ally-oop and tech. From that point on, only seemed like one winner.

Vuc's hands were horrible. So many fumbles and failure to have his hands up and ready for a pass. Actually a travesty that he gets away with a zero-turnover statline and the t.o. goes to the player making the pass. It's a shame, because his movement and footwork around the basket are very good.

Baby needs to stop putting the ball on the floor. I cringe every time he goes through his legs or attempts a spin move. The man actually looks drunk at times. Seeing him in person only made me more convinced that the ball needs to be taken out of his hands and he needs it spelling out to him that his role is to lead the team on defense, and to focus solely on wide-open jumpers and offensive boards/putbacks on offense.

Nicholson had a pretty big cheering section in the 300 level. They gave a huge roar every time he entered the game or made a shot. Not sure if it affected him, but he certainly looked anxious to make that first basket. Also, seeing him in person, he's even less of an athlete than I realised. Some more time working with NBA fitness people will help him, but he looks kind of like he's running and jumping on a sponge floor. Certainly a testament to his footwork around the basket that he can create space to get his shots off.

Meer had some untimely miscues in the fourth quarter which definitely contributed to the loss, but other aspects of his performance impressed me, particularly the amount of time he spends communicating with the coaching staff and his team-mates.

Afflalo looked very good offensively. I'd like to see us run even more stuff for him.

AN is the type of player that will find a way. I want to see a lot more aggressive play from Hark though. He seems to be going through the motions way too often.

Seriously. I love Jameer but when he gets in those ruts and feels that he needs to shoot himself out of it really can hurt the team. I felt he should've got the team going when it was excrutiatingly apparent that he wasn't going to have a good game. Facilitating the offense more and easing up on his shooting possibly could have gotten us a W.

so? when you are obviously off on your shot, go to the rim or get to the line to get out of your funk. or pass more. Dont keep just blindly firing away.
