Harkless averaging 17/7 over his last 4 games! 4/12 from 3. he's starting to get it! and as he develops more confidence handling the ball i fully expect his fta's to increase. if he just works on his handles, and the corner 3 this summer he will be a much improved player next season

Yeah his stroke is slow and his feet look to wide apart, he's got a big mans mid range kind of shot

Hard to see him shooting off the dribble with that kind of shot. He'll work on it though. Even if he never became the kind of guy to shoot off of the dribble, his contributions in other facets of the game would still make him a productive player. A la Luol Deng. Moe seems like the kind of person who wants to be great, so I'm certain he'll be doing his best to work on it as much as he can.

As much as he is improving, I'm really interested to see his improvement after a full off-season, Summer League, and training camp.

In the coming off-season, Orlando SnTs for Howard with their 17M TPE and signs Redick at the MLE. And drafts, for example, Smart.

Orlando could then look something like:
Nelson/Moore/Smart
Afflalo/Redick
Harris/Harkless/Jones
Harrington/Davis/Nicholson
Howard/Vučević/O'Quinn

I really like this team. Vets and youth. A bunch of depth. A lot of guys that play multiple positions. Ball handelers and rebounders. Offense and defense. Orlando is right back in to a title hunt next year.

Better than expected on defense (3 blocks, like D12 type), active as heck, confident. Got good ball handling, knack for getting to the rim.

He had a slow start, which isn't surprising since it was his first game on a new team... He looked a little nervous at first, but was active. I think he was 1/5 before ultimately finishing 5/10 fg. Most of his production came in the 2nd half. Solid defense leading to 6 board and 3 blocks... kind of a surprise since some were saying his defense was suspect. Hopefully the effort continues on the defensive end.

I know it's early, but I see the potential of Tobias Harris being like Josh Smith (minus 3's) and Maurice Harkless being like Lamarcus Aldridge, (Harkless isn't there offensively, but he could be) another comparison might be Batum, seeing as how he can sink 3's and play hard defense like him. They both got work to do but I think those are good comparisons for their potential ceilings. Anyone agree/disagree?

Like Aldridge? No way I can see him more like Deng with no shot or iggy but not as good defense.

I see the Josh Smith comparison offensively (minus the shot blocking and steals, little less rebounding).

Harkless and LaMarcus Aldridge? No idea what you see there. Not even remotely similar in any way shape or form.

I could see Harris in a paul pierce/josh smith type role and Harkless as more of an iggy-like player. Not saying either will ever be anywhere near that good, I have no idea, but style wise, that's how I see them .

Yeah, Harkless is just now developing himself offensively and he's kind of a hard character to compare..he can sink an open 3, occasionally does a jump shot, and most of the time he looks to drive it in. Defensively he's making a name for himself, his defense is very good at such a young age. I can see the Tayshaun Prince comparison. It's true though even I don't think he's anywhere near gifted offensively as Aldridge is but all I'm saying is Harkless' offense is evolving at a pretty fast rate and there is no telling how good this kid can be.

I don't get the LaMarcus comparison but the Luol Deng one is spot on. Luol had a more polish offense game coming out of Duke though.

Harkless is showing much more confidence lately. I like that. And, that Tobias Harris is good too. Exciting to watch them get minutes plus that Big Baby O'Quinn too.
