Well when I go to hoopshype, it says he has a players option for $12 million. If he picks up his player option how do we only buy him out for $6 million?

I'm pretty sure Hedo had to waive that player option to get the trade to Phoenix. The correct info is that he has a buyout of 6million next year..

Good point. I forgot about the stipulation to go to Phoenix

JJ Redick has officially chosen #5. #7 belongs to Ersan Ilyasova.

Ersan should give up that number

More new from Josh Robbins:

Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins
Jacque Vaughn said further tests on Jameer's knee revealed a contusion.

Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins
Vaughn on the new players: "I'd like to incorporate those guys as soon as possible."

Doesn't say how long Jameer might be out though. Does anybody have an idea of how long players usual are our with a contusion?

another year, another year of Nelson battling injuries the entire year. Drastically overpaid especially due to the fact that he just cannot stay healthy.

He is listed as day-to-day, so that's something.

Nelson had a forearm contusion earlier in the season and was out a couple games... Ayon had a thigh contusion and was out two weeks... Chris Paul had a knee contusion recently and was out for a couple weeks as well. So I'm guessing it's going to be at least a couple weeks since it's his knee.

That means its bruised. What else was wrong with his knee? In reality, it doesn't even matter at this point.

His body can't handle these huge minutes anymore. He needs 24 mins off the bench at this point in his career. Can't fault the guy.

A little more specifics about Jameer's injury from John Denton:

John Denton ‏@JohnDenton555
#Magic veteran PG Jameer Nelson underwent a MRI on Saturday and it showed a bruised patellar tendon on his left knee

I never bruised a patellar tendon but I had a slight tear in my right knee patellar tendon and I was not able to put weight on my leg with out a brace for 4 weeks. I can't imagine a bruise will be as bad as that if that helps at all.

Hmmm well it could be just for now. Maybe the new tea he's going after this season will have #7 or #4?

At this point, we can't go wrong getting either Smart or Mclemore. Given a choice, I would pick Smart. Seeing Beno play tonight revealed how much of a hole we've had at the PG spot lately. Beno is a great back-up PG. Jameer is a good starter when healthy but he's getting older and he can't seem to stay healthy, I'd like to see Jameer on a smaller contract and I'd like to see us re-sign Beno on a smaller contract. That depth at the PG spot would be incredible, and I think Smart is our PG for the future.

I'm leaning towards Smart right now unless Rob can pull off a trade with the Clips in the summer when they resign CP3 and take Butler's contract along with Bledsoe.

Nelson/Bledsoe/Moore
Afflalo/McLemore/Lamb
Harkless/Butler
Harris/Nicholson/Harrington
Vucevic/O'Quinn

i dont know what anymore means. 4 years into the league he started breaking down every year. Basically a year or so after being a full time starter.
