Orlando Magic point guard Jameer Nelson has been diagnosed with a strained patella tendon in his left knee.
The team said in a statement Thursday that the veteran's return will be determined after further evaluation when he comes back to Orlando with the team on Saturday from its current road trip. The Magic play at Memphis on Friday.

what else is new. Another year, another collection of missed games due to injury from Nelson. Out of 9 years, he will have started at least 60 games only 4 times.

An MRI on Saturday of Jameer Nelson's injured left knee yielded some positive news for the Orlando Magic.
Coach Jacque Vaughn said the exam revealed a contusion in the knee, not the preliminary diagnosis of a strain of the patellar tendon.
