Re: The Tobias Harris Thread
Tobes is a 3, he's struggled a bit on defense but gives good effort. He's got a nice post game, not a terrible shooter, has a very strong body, and can finish around the rim. He's only 20 and has completely changed his body since college, the guy has a tremendous work ethic. He was by far our best player in the summer league this year. Jennings and Monta taking 50 shots a game really took him out of the offense the few times he did get to play with us.
See, our coach was Scott Skiles and he is certifiably insane. He also chased Bogut out of town and had Ersan in the doghouse this season while at the same time loving Jennings, Monta, and Drew Gooden. Reading into Tobes playing time would be a real mistake. Remember he also hated Joakim Noah.
You guys really bent us over.
Lamb struggled with us but in college he was a really good shooter, he's a solid athlete and has a decent floater. Not sure if he'll ever figure it out but we weren't able to get any production out of Jodie Meeks either. I think he can be a decent player.
Udrih should do well with you guys, he'll fill Redick's role fine. He can handle the point and was quite the shooter before ending up here in Milwaukee. I think if he starts playing consistent minutes he can put up numbers like he did in Sacramento.

If he comes off the bench (pretty sure he will) I think he will also see some mins at PF. We are barren there right now.

I also think Lamb could be a serviceable player.

Re: The Tobias Harris Thread
Harris offers another good, young talent to watch develop during our rebuild. He's as good as anyone we would have drafted in this 1st round of this year's draft. His character fits our mold. I'm really excited to see him get some playing time.

What's wrong acquiring a believer of God? He can post whatever he wants on his Twitter. What should he say? #ThankTheRock?

If you play fantasy basketball take him NOW. He will score a lot for you guys. But his defense? Ah. Good luck with that I guess.

Udrih is a competent back up PG that thinks he is better than he is...He has a great pull up 12 footer, and can orchestrate an offense much better than Ellis or Jennings. Just a solid back up with good size and a stupid haircut.
Lamb, I kind of liked, but you can tell he is a few years away. Really smooth, and in college had an outstanding 3PT stroke we didn't see here. I think the plan was to develop him as a combo guard, but he didn't play much for us...I think he could carve out a Jodie Meeks esque career.

Time to prove yourself, Toby. Let's see what he's got. We are starting to get a lot more athletic, which is exciting.

I dont think he meant anything against believers in god, it just seems like the Magic have had a lot of players lately who wear their religion on their sleeve.

it's ok nobody else on our team plays defense
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Very promising Harris might be. I like his post game potential. Josh Smith lite? Too soon?

Interesting bit of trivia: Tobias Harris and Channing Frye are cousins.

Defense is often a matter of effort. That can be taught. I have some hope.

Tobes isn't the athlete Josh Smith is. He's kind of a hard player to find a comparison for, definitely more of a scorer with his strength being in the post.

He sounds like the SF version of Nicholson... finds ways to score, but sucks at defense.
