All new UCFKNIGHTS.com launched today. Nice looking Wordpress page and also loads good on my phone. Also of note: first day without IMG for marketing. Should be interesting to see the changes to in house.

Might just be a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde type thing that we have. If another school wants to schedule a cupcake game (basing our performance off of last year) and maybe we turn out a lot better. Not sure. Usually a lot of other schools like coming to Orlando though.

The lobbying now goes into overdrive, should be interesting. I think for UCF the longer this takes the better.

I think the Big 12 is finally coming to its senses. They have to grow. The state of Florida seems like the obvious choice.

A Big 12 including the two of us. I could finally get into this as a "rivalry". That said, lots of noise from Memphis. If only 2 are taken, neither of us make the cut. BYU / Cincy / Memphis / Houston seem the most likely even if 4 get in. Hopefully, together, we can show that Memphis has been lousy for 45 of the last 50 years and Houston is in the same zipcode of their other schools.

Honestly, I would enjoy the rivalry to live on with USF but I think our odds are slightly better for getting in. I think the big 12 should require an on-campus stadium be built. While I get the nfl stadium is nice (I've been there), there is nothing like being on campus in your own stadium for college football. Our combined media markets would make a positive addition but really not a huge factor because it doesn't matter in the current media deal.

Memphis: Shouldn't be as good this year. They lost their coach and 1st round pick QB. Their academic standing is awful but they have a wonderful basketball tradition and name recognition. The Liberty bowl is not a good venue (been there twice). What impact FedEx has ... Remains to be seen.

BYU: I would think the Baylor fiasco would scare them away from picking them. Sunday's are an issue. Not really close to the existing schools.

Houston: Another Texas team? I can see the political implications being heavy but does Texas want another team taking top talent? Since the rise of A&M, TCU, TTU And Baylor the Longhorns haven't been very good at all. Why allow another team in Texas come up to their level? Baylor is also rumored to be looking at hiring away their coach and that would devastate the program.

Cincy: a hold over from the big east has the football reputation and standing to be a popular pick.

CSU: would need byu in the conference to make sense. Would you rather add a second Florida school or go more to the west?

Every school thinks they sound like they meet the criteria perfectly, haha. I think UCF has a good shot. I'd say UCF has a decent chance if it expands to twelve, great chance if it expands to fourteen.
