Miller continued. "When you see the kind of drive that he has, it’s usually in the underdog or the walk-on who is trying to earn a scholarship or someone who is just trying to perfect their skill level because they aren’t talented enough. Aaron is unique because he has the ingredients of a world class athlete, but also a desire and a mindset that you usually only see in an underdog. That’s the combination that makes him so special. It makes him a great teammate and his coaching staff warms up to him. There’s a winning culture that follows him with how he handles himself every day."

What one can see is that GM Hennigan is assembling the All Gym-rat Team. Oladipo, Gordon-A and Payton might live in the Magic's gym. That will contagiously "infect" Harris and Harkless. If Vučević catches this bug as well, the Magic will be the most fit and prepared team game on night-in-and-out. That will lead to wins!

..

Harris is already the hardest worker on the team, there is not a player on the roster that lives on the basketball court more then him. He infects the others (to come workout with HIM), no the other way around. Our players even acknowledge that. That kid is basketball 24/7. Not Oladipo, not Gordon or Payton, not our vets.

not just athletes.... but competitive core. The addition of payton and AG to victor and tobias (along with their upgrades as leaders on the team) will provide a group that would compete every day....on the court in both practice an game situations. that will help the teammates all strive to reach higher levels..... unless they are just lazy and don't care. haha

Haven't been this excited for a season to start in a long time!

I don't think anyone works harder than Tobias. Some may work as hard, but not harder. But how do you know Oladipo, Gordon and Payton don't work as hard?

Because they (Gordon/Payton) are rookies. Up until prepping for the draft they haven't even been exposed to the type of training NBA pro's do. Aaron maybe a little bit because of his brother trying to make the NBA last year etc.

Most rookies go crazy hard (PRO level) from the time between college and the draft process and then they drop off of it once they are drafted, i.e. Dipo going from the best basketball shape of his life to getting 15-17 pounds overweight for the season.

Dipo's work would have showed in his body TBH. If he comes in with his body sculpted and his outside jumper being drastically improved we will know.

agree neon, and I'd like to add that I find it impressive how oladipo managed to improve upon his season's stats late in the season despite playing overweight, possibly because he learned to play slower. (lol)

I'm excited too see him. He is the only one that we all know for sure that tis regime will give his fair shot too, no clue at what position, but we do know he will be thrown out there on full throttle. Now we just need some clarity on Tobias and Vucevic. If they give all three of them the opportunity that they have clearly earned, we are all in for a great ride.
