Five years ago, if you told college coaches across the country that Victor Oladipo would one day be the #2 overall pick in the NBA Draft, they might have called you crazy. Fast-forward to today and Oladipo is coming off an NBA All-Rookie First Team season with the Orlando Magic, and all signs point to future All-Star Game appearances. Oladipo takes VICE Sports home with him to Maryland, where he opens up about his past and talks about his future. In part one of this four part series, meet Oladipo's loved ones, and see where it all started.

Vic is a real funny guy... but in a likeable down to earth way. Unlike Dwight.

You sure? Because I'm pretty sure everyone was saying the same thing about Dwight vs. Shaq a few years ago. I could totally see VO turning into a diva like Dwight. The singing, the dancing, the joking, the pranking. I'm not saying it will happen, but I wouldn't be surprised anymore. Doesn't this look like a fun, likeable, down-to-earth guy?

wow man, give the guy at least a few years before we dub him the second coming of Dwight. Might be just me but it seems too early to be thinking about this right now man.

It's impossible to say what he will be like in a few years (especially if he develops into a huge star) but for now I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Let's enjoy the ride.

Thoroughly enjoyed the videos. Vic is going to be an amazing player for us. He'll be the leader that we all wished D12 would have been.

I could be wrong, but I just don't see Victor turning out like Dwight.
1. He's a lot smarter!

2. He grew up with sisters and is not likely to disrespect women the way Dwight seems to.

only the future will tell, but saying that he will be a douche like dwight solely because he likes to dance, sing and prank is just silly
