Well done Jameer, really happy for him. I know which team I'll be hoping wins the title this season (Apart from our boys of course). Not only would it be awesome for Jameer but would be great to see Dirk get another ring before he retires.

Glad for Jameer. He goes to the team that gave the Spurs their biggest challenge. Dallas is going to be very good next year. Wouldn't mind seeing an all Texas Conference finals.

I was just about to say Mavs pushed the Spurs to the brink. I'll be rooting for the Mavs this year for several reasons. I like me some Marc Cuban great owner. Always liked Dirk, stayed loyal with the Mavs and they got him their ring in probably the sweetest way possible being Miami. Rooting hard for Parsons to take off! I think he has the goods to be an all-star, plus he is an Orlando and Gator boy! And now with Meer, I hope they come out of the West.
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...

Good luck, Jameer. I will always be a fan, as you were always a true professional both on and off the court. I will always think "what if" you weren't injured in '09, we could've probably won it all.

Jameer's 08-09 season is one of the best non-Shaq, Penny, TMac or Dwight seasons in Magic history.

wish mighty mouse nothing but the best. meer, penny and tmac are my favorite magicians. i hope the mavs win it all next year. Meer deserves a ring and it would be sweet if they won it all and knocked H-town out the playoffs while getting it.

Great deal for the Mavs. I hope the reports about Dwight contacting Meer are true and I hope Meer just hung up on him. I wonder who else went after him.

I may have to cop the league pass this year just so I can watch the Mavs games.

Nelson’s former star teammate, Dwight Howard, made multiple recruiting calls to Nelson about joining the Rockets, sources told RealGM. Howard and Nelson led the Orlando Magic to the NBA Finals in 2009.

I'll bet those calls were funny...

Mavs are looking good although they have a small backcourt now with Ellis/Nelson. That is assuming Nelson starts, which he should since he is better than Felton and Harris is more of a bench spark.

I feel ultimately Jameer got a respectable contract. He will have the opportunity to compete and possibly start. I will be following Dallas this year just to keep an eye on how he's doing.
