Lol, I'd do that deal... Harkless doesn't bring tenacity like Barnes does...

Hark 7.9 ppg 3.9 rbp 0.7 bpg 1.2 spg .462 FG % .336 3pt FG % career numbers

Barnes 9.3 ppg 4.1 rpg 0.2 bpg 0.7 spg .419 FG % .352 3pt FG % career numbers

Both have 2 yrs NBA expeirence, Hark is one yr younger. Pretty even career numbers, Hark slightly better in the blocks and steals category. Yeah I'll keep Hark.

Tobias on a bad leg is better than Barnes.

An interesting story on Barnes:
RGM LINK

When Iguodala got hurt and Barnes took his spot in the starting lineup, the Warriors suffered dramatically.

It is not all that surprising that swapping Iguodala for Barnes has a noticeable effect on defense, given that Iguodala might be the league’s top wing defender. But the effect on offense is astounding. The regular starting lineup is able to offset its high turnover rate by shooting the lights out, as evidenced by the 50.1 field goal percentage and 44.1 three-point percentage. Inserting Barnes results in the turnover rate increasing astronomically while simultaneously causing the assist rate and shooting percentages to decline significantly. The result is a transformation from a super-efficient lineup to one that posts an offensive rating that would rank near the bottom of the league.

This does not bode well. By this story I read that he is substandard on offense and and defense, and is TO prone.

LOL.. I remember the time when Dwight started to show flashes of who he could become and other teams were giving us trade deals to try and get him.

This thread pretty much reminds me of those golden years..

Barnes showed great flashes during g state playoff run two years ago.

barnes along side victor would give the magic a great one two punch

thoughts?

Good old days of Knicks fans offering us Channing Fry for Dwight. Funny thing is that Fry is now on our team all those years later lmao.

I think that, in the right environment, Harrison Barnes will be a terrific pro basketball player. Heck, look at Tobias Harris' career - he couldn't get a fair shake in Milwaukee. He came to the Magic and bloomed into a very solid NBA starter and for all we know he may continue to get better. So, I think Harrison Barnes just needs a change of scenery to become the player we all know he has the potential to be.

Sadly, that won't be with the Magic. Not in exchange for Tobias Harris, at least.

Barnes is doing that on a much better team where he has a lot more competition for shots and Barnes has showed in to be better than those numbers during the playoffs. I would gladly trade Barnes for Hark as Barnes has just if not more potential to get better as Hark. I already think Barnes is better offensively. And that is one of things this team needs.

Harrison has played minutes, lots of them. In fact he has played more career minutes then Tobias has and he hasn't shown production. Tobias was productive in the minutes he was given (Milwaukee and here), Barnes has not been.
A smart coach once said, "Potential just means you're not good enough yet." Playing on potential is like living on air: It's essential, but if thats all you have, you're eventually going to starve.

I'd much rather have Barnes than Harkless but Harris? No way.
