We should have a betting pool here. Kind of like gallows humor. It'll keep us sane when disasters strike.

So who wants to make a bet on which players are next?

Marble injured
Magic rookie swingman Devyn Marble was unavailable to play against the Nets because of a strained rotator cuff in his right shoulder.

Marble suffered the injury Friday night when he attempted a fastbreak layup at the rim against the Minnesota Timberwolves. On that play, 'Wolves guard Mo Williams made a spectacular block on Marble's shot attempt; on the block, Marble's right arm bent backward at an awkward ankle.

An MRI revealed the strain.

"It's feeling a little better compared to yesterday or a couple of days back," Marble said. "But it's still got a little bit more to go."

Hey,

Do you guys have a sense of when Oladipo will return to action?

He's on my fantasy team.

Thanks

He was supposed to be out 4-6 weeks when the injury happened, so end of the month would likely be the earliest.

Aaron Gordon was spotted wearing a walking boot on his left foot after the game on Saturday.
This injury came out of nowhere and there are no details as to that exactly happened.

Fournier sat out against the Clippers due to a left heel contusion that he suffered when Kentavious Caldwell-Pope fouled Fournier as Fournier attempted a breakaway dunk on Monday. Fournier fell awkwardly to the court on the play, and the contusion left a large portion of his left foot discolored.

Fournier went through his usual pregame shooting routine Wednesday, but he was ruled out about 90 minutes before tipoff.

Denton ran a story on Nov. 17 entitled:
Gordon Can Get Injury Advice From Harris

That now has a new meaning.

Harris said he suffered the injury during his pregame shooting routine Friday night, before the Magic beat the Hornets 105-100. Harris still played 40 minutes, tallying 17 points and 16 rebounds.

“I just gutted it out and played on it,” Harris said. “I knew [the injury] was nothing crazy.”

This cannot be that serious if he can go 17/16 on the thigh.

You've got to be kidding me... A shooting routine? That's how he gets injured... That's nuts...

Folks, this is the non-injury thread.

Dewayne Dedmon is doing great.

You've got to be kidding. What is with this team? It's starting to feel like we're tanking again. A contusion is a bruise. This is what Jameer missed multiple games with in the tanking years, a leg bruise.

And again, where the hell is KOQ? It was just a sprained ankle, which he injured on October 28, a month ago. He has now missed 15 games -- almost 20% of the whole season with a sprained ankle. And of course with the Magic's policy of not giving timetables on injuries, like it needs to be a big secret on a 20-win team, we know nothing about why he's been out so long.

He said it was the same injury as tobias last year, so it's probably a high ankle sprain.... from my understanding these kind of sprains tend to take much longer, like 6 weeks, to return and even then there's a good chance the player won't feel 100% for a few months.

I don't think we're doing the whole hold players out longer than needed thing. It was tobias' decision to sit last game. Fournier also would have sat longer than one game with that heel injury. Same goes for Frye's knee sprain and Oladipo's facial fracture. We brought those guys back in a reasonable amount of time = I would argue earlier than expected. Also, with the way fournier talks about not wanting to sit out games due to injury, I almost expect him to give it a go on this quad contusion.
