Tobias Harris is just a guy. Carmelo Anthony Lite Lite. Volume shooter/slasher, zero defense, and very limited basketball IQ.

He was owned multiple times by every guy he tried to guard.

so much wrong in all of this im not going to even bother.

Prove me wrong. He has been blown by multiple times in the first Q already.

He is a nice 13-14 pt guy on a play off team but certainly not a franchise player or even budding superstar.

2 is the only accurate one. There is tons of talent on this team, they're all young at the moment. There a couple of superstars in the making on this team, they're all young at the moment.

OK.....so we agree on #2. That's a start.

We do have talent but I would re-assert that we "do not have ENOUGH talent" to go blow for blow with playoff caliber teams (w/out VO) and win. I enjoy watching us play.

We fight hard but at the end of the day like the other guy said we have a bunch of one way players. Heck when we play Ridnour we are playing 4 on 5. When we play Dedmon 4 on 5. Those guys are getting extended valuable minutes.... That means we DO NOT have enough talent.

We want to "follow the Spurs' team play model". I can dig it but the Spurs have not 1 but 3 bonafide stars and a 4th one emerging.

And we have 3 superstars in the making, Oladipo, Payton and A Gordon.

Ok....so we are still 0-4 with PRESENT Talent.

In the present day your 3 projected superstars are not superstars now.

Hence we do not have enough talent in the present day and are 0-4.....and are beating a D League team by 1 point in the 2nd Quarter. Absurd.

he doesnt need volume to score. He does play defense and his BBIQ is good. Im not nor ever called him a superstar. He is just a good player.

I don't know, Tobias's defense is actually pretty terrible. I'm not even sure he puts a whole lot of effort in it. He has a lot of potential offensively, but the D is horrendous.

Through 4 games Orlando ranks in the bottom 10 in the league in:

Turnovers
Own Points Per Game
Opponent Points Per Game
Rebound Differential (despite having the #1 rebounder!!!)
Opponent Offensive Rebounds

The turnovers are a result of having a rookie PG and Dipo being out. Elf is dripping with talent and Dipo will soon be back so this is a temporary concern.

Turnovers = missed opportunities for points, so our own ppg should increase when we clean up the TOs.

The defense and rebounding are where we have a real problem in my opinion. Vuc has been a monster on the boards, yet we are still terrible here. KOQ's return will help, but man I really hope we go into the offseason with an urjency for adding a legit, pysical big man.

Dipo might not help with the TO, are we forgetting how much he turned over last year? I have no doubt he will improve on TO this year, but it'll still be a problem when he gets back.

Dipo tried to play a lot of PG last year. He isn't THAT good of a ball handler but we tried him there because he is an above average ball handler. He will do much better at the SG spot.

i saw plenty of effort last night. And why single out Tobias? Vuc's defense was horrible. Fournier's defense was horrible. Why does everyone concentrate the bad defense only on Harris?

Meh, we won. They were rested, we had guys playing huge minutes back to back for the first time ever. These things aren't in a vacuum.

I agree. Now that we aren't tanking (I assume), I'm just astounded how disorganized we look on offense. I don't remember seeing a single pick and pop with Frye and anybody in that Philly game. Henny did not pay Frye that contract to just draw an opposing PF away from the basket.

We've been taking some really **** weird angles at the basket. A lot of shots yesterday got blocked on them, a few of Tobias' shots I recall the most clearly right now.

Frequently we take our two steps way too far out, and as a result a lot of our at the basket attempts look real whacky.
