He played amazing defense and dropped some amazing passes in the 4th that got his teammates easy looks.

Elfrid Payton highlights vs Sixers. He turned up the defense for this one. 8 pts, 5 ast, 6 reb, 4 stl, 1 blk.

Elfrid Payton for filling up the stat sheet, providing the Magic with some very solid defense and for hilariously getting in Wroten's head. Seriously, I thought Wroten was going to swing on Elf a couple times.

Can you imagine how good he is going to be when he develops that shot? He is going to be able to create points for us like few PGs can.

Also, how good is our back court going to be defensively when Oladipo comes back?

Where do I vote for that Megan pic? Although I do like the new FSN girl working in place of Blaylock.

I would not trade dipo payton for kyrie dion, beal wall, or derozan lowry. best up and coming back court in the eastern conference.

If Harris or Vooch posted a stat line of 8 pts, 6 rebs, 5 asts, 4 stls, and 4 TOs while letting a nobody light him up for 27 points, people would be calling for his head.

I love EP and am optimistic about his future, but against Philly he contributed to our struggles as much as he did to our success.

Let's not forget Wroten's 9 turnovers, Payton might've had a little something to do with that 8-)

If you watched the game (you didn't), Wroten had 12 points in Ridnour's 20 minutes - I re-checked the box scores.

That's effectively 15 points against a lineup with Payton in it (it's not PG vs PG when it comes to points period either) - he forced him into about 5-6 turnovers and Sixers fans were lamenting how he owned him a lot of the night.

Look a bit beyond the box score please.

Of course attributing it all to Payton can make your point sound better, but it's false.

Yeah I get the feeling the people voting for Harris didn't actually watch the game. Except for the final shot, Harris' production came within the flow of the game whereas Payton changed the game when we needed it most. Sometimes stats tell the story, other times they do not.

I don't want to cause a big ruckus because I generally like Tobias, but 3-4 possessions prior to the winning shot, he tried one of the worst heroball drives I've ever seen. Just a straight-ahead baseline drive to the basket with 2 defenders there. He may have been blocked, I don't recall. At the time I posted: "So selfish." I think he'd be the first to admit he owed the team a big shot after that one.

that was bad, Vuc also tried about a 12 ft. hookshot in there too.

Its the end of the game someone has to take the shot obviously.

Payton's steals all felt like game changers as and when they happened. For this young gun, his game this year will be on defense. He brang it this night.

27 points by the worst starting pg in the league. Seriously, imagine the rants that people would go on if Vooch or Harris let a no-name go off like that.

very few players control a game without scoring...its a small sample but Elfrid looks to be one of those guys.

When Dipo gets back, there will be no rest for the opposing guards...can not wait to see that
