THIS DUNK DOE...
This dunk has already brought more social media/positive attention/hype to the franchise than anything else in a long, long time. Buzzing on sports sites and social media right now. If this doesn't warm you up inside, go sit in the corner with Willie Green.

Not sure why you would prefer the gif over the higher quality gfycat posted above, but here you go...

Re: THIS DUNK DOE...
There are THREE people on the floor who's job it is to make this foul call and all of them missed it. I don't even.

Orlandipo! He's had a rough five games aside from the loss to the 76ers, so this was refreshing. I really feel like losing the mask will help him, a lot of players struggle wearing those masks if they're not used to it.

I love how focused his face stays even after the contact.
Surprised Nike didn't confiscate the tape.

Epic.
i'd throw out the conspiracy that the NBA doesn't want to show the highlight to shine a spotlight on their poor officiating, but they do that with so many other plays it wouldn't matter.

Re: THIS DUNK DOE...
I have this theory about ref's - not just in the NBA or Basketball but pretty much most sports.
They really dont pay 100% attention - and in so many cases they call what they ASSUME happen based on predetermined biases and presumptions. E.G If Lebron beats a player, he is good enough to do it legally, ergo he likely didnt foul or travel. However, if deep bench player takes the ball off Lebron, he is more likely to have fouled due to Lebron's ability gap over said player.
This I find happens in football (soccer) ALOT. If a great winger beats an average defender, but falls over (for this example, dives), they will call a foul on the defender, as it seems to be assumed that winger is a better player and likely won the 1v1. However, if the defender was a world class player, and takes down a average player, its assumed that the defender, again due to gap of ability, did it cleanly, even if he did foul.
These assumptions and bias's can ruin sports at times. Especially in a world of instant replay.
The above may well have been to fast and in the wrong position to notice it (though I am sure refs should be looking at out reached hands on a defender 1v1) - but just in general it seems like why we miss so many travel calls, and fouls, but the superstars seem to get theirs that much more.

Re: THIS DUNK DOE...
Very good post. I want to talk about this last part though because id like to add that if a defender wildly swings his arm at an offensive player most of the time the ref would give the offensive player the benefit of the call.damo[23] wrote:.....The above may well have been to fast and in the wrong position to notice it (though I am sure refs should be looking at out reached hands on a defender 1v1) - but just in general it seems like why we miss so many travel calls, and fouls, but the superstars seem to get theirs that much more.
If someone swung their arm wildly at lebron in a similar play but didnt make contact, and the play happened too fast for the refs to see then they would've blown the whistle, i have no doubt.
I also find it hilarious that Cleveland is suddenly ranked 1st IN LEAGUE...at not commiting fouls.... That has absolutely nothing to do with the teams abilities it has to do with Lebrons presence and the fact that refs are obviously afraid to call a foul on LeBron or his teammates. I find it very difficult to believe that Cleveland suddenly..."doesn't foul"
