Dante needs to stop asking that question after every game against Philly. Vuc got traded a while ago, I doubt he really held a grudge anyways, but he's definitely over it by now.

Props to Vucc for opening up about his dad! Glad I caught the end of this game - love that we didn't collapse when things went bad and now "The Rookies"" is on - anyway I can see this if I live in NY -this sucks.

it's not, though. it's 1 point versus 2 points.

at this point, you're not looking for shots you've got 50% chance on. you want high % chances.

Yes, but the 1 point on the free throw is on only one possession -- whereas the 2 points for FGs would presumably be on two possessions, one make and one miss, for an average of 1 point per possession.

In fact it's better to score 2-4 in FTs than 1-2 in FG, because the opposite player will have more chances to be fouled out.

another one bites the dust, JB and the players building chemistry. Vuc for the vest for sure, dude is really coming into his own and if we improve as a team next season like we should he'll definitely be an All-star Next season.

Weird game. I skipped most of the second and third quarters. Not sure I'll bother. Didn't seem like there was a lot of flow to it and strange rotations.

Credit to Philly for hitting their 3s. Obviously the gameplan was to protect the paint. I think they only had 4 points there in the first half. It broke down late in the game when they got desperate but I'll take it.

Noel has a ton of potential on the defensive end, he makes plays that no other big can make but I think its clear that hes a very poor defender right now.

Had Bosh got sick two weeks sooner, Vuc would be an All-Star this season, IMO.

I'm surprised he didn't have 10 blocks against our weak finishers. I didn't watch all 4 quarters but it seemed like the Magic were making the extra pass in the paint? Maybe that helped.

i'll take a Vuc at the rim attempt over a FT any day, because Vuc shoots over 50% from there.

don't you think that if the 50% FT shooter was a successful option, you'd see more teams dumping the ball to guys like Dwight to close out games?

not that i mind either way, because i agree that Payton should be out there regardless of FT concerns.

I'm happy they kept fouling elf and that force JB to sub him out till the 2 min mark, hope that gets a message to elf that he really needs to improve his FT or change his shooting form over the summer !

Shooting 50% won't make you shot 1-2 all the time. They hacked D12 because they knew that in the end of the game, he would be tired and shot a even worse %. Also, you stop the clock, so you can have more plays to shot crazy 3s to make the difference smaller.

Yeah its the exact same thing. 50% free throws in every possession is a great outcome.

Wtf? Lol, well, Noel's a rookie, his every instinct is to jump to block every shot. That's not going to be effective against every player, it's more so against post oriented big men that don't force Noel to step out to guard them. Also, being so springy won't work against such an astute a rebounder as Vucevic is. Noel should have chosen his opportunities better and attempt to box out more, but again, he's a rookie and every shot that goes up looks like an opportunity to him.

I'm assuming you've seen my posts in the impressions thread, I cite statistics and such to validate Noel being a defensive beast. Getting embarrassed against a specific type of player that he has to learn to play against doesn't dissuade the numbers.

No chance without a hint. 3 SFs, one on our team.

I am going to guess:

Chandler Parsons
Tobias Harris
Carmelo Anthony

?
