We had no scored with about 3 mins left in the quarter. Had 2 with about a min 30. Awful. Great fan appreciation!

Raps fans cheating 'Let's go Raptors' at 'the Heat's house' so at least it doesn't happen just at Amway.

I would love that so long as we lose our last.

Might be too late depending on tomorrow's games as the Raps about to win.

How much will Whiteside demand next season? Today he has 16/16 + 6 blocks and 4-16 from the line.

Pretty sure I read the Heat have him signed for under $1m for next season. There was talk they'll look to extend that this offseason to get that cheap year out of him.

i don't think they'll be able to extend him with no bird rights and no cap space. they'll have to wait til 2016 when they're given some extra money to burn.

if Miami miss the playoffs i feel like they'll be gifted a top 3 pick, if not the #1. that ol' "we're sorry LeBron bailed on you... here, have #1" consolation the NBA has been handing out the past few years.

By that logic it's our turn for Dwight bailing

I'd like to believe you but the way some of our games are officiated, I feel we're still paying back the NBA / basketball Gods for winning back-to-back no. 1 picks in the 90s.

Let's face it: the Knicks or the Lakers are already getting the number 1 pick someway somehow but you're right, it would throw another team with a 'hard luck story' into the mix.

it's been our turn for the past 2 years. i don't think the NBA feels they owe us anything.

Cleveland loses LeBron - gets 3 #1's (Kyrie, Bennet (NBA can't draft for them) and Wiggins)
New Orleans loses CP3 - gets #1 Anthony Davis
Orlando loses Dwight - gets #2 Dipo
Toronto loses Bosh - gets #5 Valanciunas (lol)
Lakers lose Dwight/Pau - gets #7

I feel like lottery pick retribution is paid via the value of the player to the team. Unless you're Toronto, in which case, the NBA just hates you. (Justifiable, given their fans)

rcklsscognition wrote:About two months ago just after we fired Vaughn there was some talk amongst reporters that our locker room didn't have the organization needed to succeed. Players didn't know their roles and they were searching for a leader. Now we see clearly that Oladipo was given the head spot of the team. Im wondering if there is some lack of cohesion between him and Tobias. Tobias seems so out of place in our offense yet he is still scoring efficiently. We have to find a way to revolve the offense around Harris better and use Oladipo as a secondary option.

I think a lot of it has to do with how ball dominant dipo is. That and since we are a lottery team again it makes little sense (for us) to go out of our way to use harris properly. We would just drive up his value.

Because they only signed him to a 2 yr deal, and not 3 (like we did Dedmon), Whiteside will also be an UFA in 2016. Heat can't extend or offer him a QO to make him restricted. Hopefully he screws them.

of course he will. if he continues with the growth he's shown this season, he could be a top 5 C who plays both ends and protects the rim like a freak. with all the money flying around that summer, he'll get a max $20M+ deal for sure.

From ESPN:
Eighteen players played in the second quarter and are combining to make $31.7 million this season. So, prorated, these players earned $96,708 over the 12-minute period, with Victor Oladipo ($15,177, 1-for-4) clearing the most and Langston Galloway ($718, 0-for-2) taking home the smallest amount for his 10 minutes, 11 seconds on the floor.

Let's say that Orlando had their average of 16,785 fans, that works out to $5.76 per fan to watch that second quarter.

Not a great game by any standards but we only need one more loss to keep us away from sactown.

and who really cares bout the low scoring quarter, remember houston had a 19 point half last year, a damn playoff team

our previous few games were awesome, we were due a stinker

Now back to NBA2k15 where I'm destroying the league as the new Magic SF

i dont see that. he had a quick, great run. But settled down pretty quickly after that after teams had film and identified his tendencies. He is a good center, but i dont see top-5, unless he really buckles down develops more.

So we did make history! Fewest combined points in NBA history for a quarter at 15. Previous high was 18. Worst quarter I ever seen.
