Re: Mario Hazonja player comparison
Hezonja is not a mini Ginobli. Ginobli was a master wizard. He went to Hoggwarts for 3 years before declaring for the draft. Those passing pg skills arent just made, they are taught by the worlds greatest wizards and witches.
Its hard to compare Mario to someone bc there have been little to none European prospects like him before. Those who are comparing him to Tmac are not remember who Tmac was. Remember when he was here? The man was playing like MVP. Just an unguardable player who can score at will. His speed, handles, and shooting touch was only matched by Kobe. Hezonja is athletic, but TMAC was a freak of nature. Tmac would be jumping over 7 footers out there and going putting up highlights on a nightly basis. If Hezonja can become half of what Tmac was here in Orlando, this will probably be our third-fourth most successful draft pick ever.
If I was to compare him right now to someone, then its more like a more athletic rookie Klay. Klay has better handles now and is a much better passer but when Mario is 25, I think he will be drawing other comparisons hopefully

To me he's kind of a mix between Ginobili and Gallinari

The correct answer here is Peja Stojakovic. People forget what a good athlete he was in his prime years.

And the best shooter in the NBA at one point. Putting Hezonja in the same shooting level as Peja is bit premature. I think he has the stroke to be there. Especially in an NBA that encourages more 3PT every year. Peja was a sniper. You could not give him an open look for a second or it was buckets. He had his share of "WOW" shots.

I like this comparison too. Klay had to round out his game the last couple of years, and Hezonja will need to as well. Of course, Klay isn't quite at the superstar level so we'll need Mario to use his athleticism if we want him to reach that level.

The JR Smith comp still makes no sense.. Not even slightly.
I think his play style will look a lot like Klay Thompson, but Mario will
have a much bigger offensive arsenal to go to.

This...
Klay Thompson/J.R. Smith/Peja Stojakovic/Reggie Miller
Has a incredible range and can knockdown any shot, and can he has good enough handles to get off to get to the rim or settle for a jumpshot.
He most reminds me of Klay because he pretty much has the same skill set as he does. Well, outside of the quick first step, athleticism, passing ability that he has over him... Probably a guy with the ability to play Elite Defense while being a great shooter/offensive player.

Re: Mario Hazonja player comparison
If this guy actually reaches Klay Thompson's potential, it'll get pretty interesting around here. I anticipate some Oladipo vs. Hezonja vs. Harris discussions to ensue.

THIS. I don't remember Peja go up for alley-oops, chasing down blocks or etc.
Shooter though... he probably is better than Mario for now...

I know he's athletic, but it would still be weird to have a legit 6'9" shooting guard. Seems more likely to be spot minutes, but what do I know?
