Wouldnt be surprised if Mario's opportunity isnt about lineup change but rather a showcase to trade him.

Sort of like, look, he's still good enough that we play him, technically, sort of? I get that, and it might not be wrong.

I agree. Vogel does not want him, and i think he also wants to leave Magic at any cost.
If he goes elswere and flops there (60% chance to that) ok no problem, but if he flourishes like Oladipo or Ilyasova?
Who´s fault will it be?

Where did it go wrong? His is a worst player in his second season than he was in his rookie season.
I just don´t get it.

I've been saying since Meeks came back that there just weren't any minutes for Mario unless an injury or two occured, one has, and Vogel said he was going to play Mario at the 3, yet Mario gets 4 and 7 minutes. Something to monitor. If he continues to play a few minutes a game and not really be the backup 3 like Vogel said, I'll fully be expecting Mario to be traded.

Because Vogel can't pull his head out of his A hole and see that Watson and Green contribute nothing . CJ Watson is still shooting below 30% ( 27,7%) , and Green at PF is probably worst backup PF in the league. ON defense it's not even close.
And for some reason he still refuses to play Gordon at his natural position - PF. Why? Nobody knows. Even Green is better at SF than PF so it makes even less sense.

Gordon has been playing well and adjusting to the demands of SF. Who is to say what his "natural position" is? Steph Curry's "natural position" is SG, but he makes a darn good PG. Shard was a SF, but played PF fine. just labels man, what does it matter? and where does Ibaka play if AG is at PF? if you force him to play center, he wont re-sign here.

Notice he's making 3s now that he's not jacking up 27+ footers every other attempt. Hasn't taken a 3 more than 26' out since before December and he's shooting 47 3pt% as a result despite inconsistent minutes. It's a shame our coaching staff let him think he could jack up shots like steph curry earlier in the year. Should have never shot so poorly.

I hope Mario plays now every game 20plus minutes just they have to allow him to shoot more often and run offence

Can we save Mario by turning him into a stretch 4?

This might be an off the wall idea, but I think for these reasons Mario Hezonja as a Stretch 4 has merit for exploration:

1) Height isn't an issue. Size maybe, but we can mold him.

2) Masks his weaknesses as a poor ball handler.

3) Helps him improve his 3pt accuracy. How? As a SF, Mario is forced to create his own shot or take low percentage deep shots. As a stretch 4, Mario turns into a spot up shooter playing off the ball. In these situations, he's more likely to get open looks and theoretically hit with more accuracy.

4) Boost his confidence. Mario's mental strength is weak. We know this. By finding more success on the court, Mario's demeanor and play should also theoretically improve as well.

Play picknpop mario and ibaka like last year with jason smith or picknrol with dedmon. Standing in corner is not good for mario caliber of player but vogel cant understand that. Stuburn coach
