God I hope we come out to play Sunday and Ibaka goes into Hakeem mode and dominates so I can proudly accept my warning from the mods for trolling.

Mods hate me for some reason so I'm sure I'll get a suspension haha

42 free throws in a game against Brooklyn. I think I'll delete this one from the DVR.

The refs called sooo many bs fouls on both teams, they made the third quarter so boring

Dunno about that. They are the 3rd best team in the league and my guess is that even with Vuc they'd find a way to beat us.
We are improving, that's a given, but still not on their level. We played well enough that game to beat any team not named Warriors, Cavs or CLippers.

i don't mean to suggest that we're on their level--they could very well blow us out the next time we play them--i just think the outcome of that particular game is probably different if vuc is available. but yeah, all after-the-fact speculation at this point.

He's been the best player on the court tonight by some distance.

This isn't the first game this year where things have gotten chippy and we've seen guys get fired up, but I'm pretty sure it's the first one where we've actually channeled that edge into a victory. Usually we can keep that fire burning for a stretch of the game, but then we eventually fade and crumble like the chumps that we are. So to actually win this game after spotting them 4 points on technical free throws (Vogel, Fournier, Payton, Vuc each getting technicals) is a good thing. It helps that the Nets are not a good team, but there was some competitiveness tonight, and that's a good thing.

Plus you have to factor in the obligatory player X is terrible at *insert basketball skill here* except against the Magic e.g. Luis Scola becoming Steph Curry for a night. Someone Levert hitting only his third three of the year etc.

They don't have a lot of talent on that team but they play hard. Nets are a choppy team. They did beat the Clips couple weeks ago.

We did what we were supposed to do tonight, beat a brooklyn nets team who we should beat anytime at our place or their place. If we are going to get our record over 500 and get a playoff seed and make a run in the playoffs, we have to beat teams who are supposed to beat( Nets, Kings, Hawks, Heat, 76ers, Wizards). Than beat teams (who we can beat) like Suns, Twolves, Lakers, Rockets, Bucks, etc), Than beat the best toughest opponents like (Warriors, Cavs, Raptors, Spurs, Clippers)

Vuc for vest.

And since winning a game without him in the lineup means we good without him, winning a game with him playing must mean he's untradeable... Right? RIGHT? '?!??

Outside of the SG position where Derozoan is killing it, I think we match up really well against TOR. I think we can win that game.

Why are these game threads so short these days? I took a new job and have been traveling so haven't been as active for the last few weeks. What's everyone else's excuse?

The threads have been pretty inactive even in the losses in comparison to last month.

Another game where i said to myself multiple times, "how are we still losing ffs?".

We go on these beautiful mini runs and I'm thinking we are up by 20 and I look at the score and we are losing by 6 or 8. We dig ourselves into holes too much and we got lucky to get out of this one.

No stinkers tonight which is always nice.

Oh. I've seen a trend that posters that use to be avid distributors in these game threads (mostly all hateful, negative content) shy away when we're actually winning or playing a good game for the sake of the matter win or lose.

I could potentially see Orlando losing a lot of loyal fans because of all the ups and downs. Its extremely frustrating to continue to have patience with this club after everything we have been though together as an organization.

No worries though, as soon as we start winning they'll all be back. Winning cures everything.

Before we had the excitement of young players that we thought were going to be superstars. Now we are in that middle ground with no superstar so nothing to generate that insane buzz.

I think part of the reason too is that we're almost 30 games in and have a good feel for what this team is capable of. There is less to talk about, in that regard. Plus, you aren't seeing as many of the same arguments rehashed daily by the same handful of posters like we saw earlier in the season.

You can only repeat "This team sucks and you're all stupid for rooting for them" so many times before you either wear yourself out or get banned for derailing discussion. The team's been playing near .500 ball since the 0-3 start, so there isn't too much to be depressed about - nor overly excited about - either.

Yep, plus it's hard to have discussions hating on Vuc or Payton when they've been balling the way they have. Those were the other major talking points. Vuc has absolutely silenced me, that's for sure.
