With the 25th pick the Magic select...
A poor shooting metric freak with tons of potential who could really just be great if the stars aligned and he learned to, you know, actually play and be productive at basketball. But boy oh boy can he just jump out of the gym and, you know, you just can't teach that. And man, he really brings all those intangibles that really just don't show up on the stat sheet (or the win column). He's best suited for the 3 spot, but we're going to sign some over-the-hill free agents that no one else wants at the same position and play this new metric freak completely out of position during his formative years because, well, why not?
And hey, if it doesn't work out, we'll ship him off for an expiring vet (for that cap space that no good free agent will want) and a late 2nd where we'll pick some guy from a country that no one's ever heard of who will never play here because his girlfriend thinks the city is icky.
Sound about right?

Dekker would be interesting. But the most I would do is swap Hezonja, not throw in a pick. He has been disappointing to Houston also.
Yeah I get it. Houston fans are actually high on him, but I noticed he didn't shoot well from the 3 last season, which is where we would need him to excel.
he got almost zero run in the playoffs, which tells me the organization still doesnt trust him completely.
Why da hell you even want him tho?
Played 87% of time at PF , can't handle a ball, can't pass, can't draw fouls, can't really shoot from outsidem year older than Hezonja and this year, he was,at best good as Hezonja in rookie year ? It's definition of lateral move.

Good points. I don't know much about him and was intrigued, but you squashed that!

ESPN saying Diallo has pulled out of the draft and will return to Kentucky. One less option here.

25 + Vuc or Fournier...
Could that get us into the top 10? If say... Markkanen were to fall?
I'd be willing to give up both tbh, since this current team hasn't win jack.
Elfrid
Ross
Tatum
AG
Markkanen
I like that team.

Two starting level players for a player who we don't know can start and could possibly end up being a backup role player?

i think the "Starting level players" tag is meaningless, honestly. What have they brought us? They both have been the highly utilized players on this team for a few years now and we're not winning games.
In the end we might lose that trade if we trade all of that, but at least we'll know we didn't fall very far from where we were.

If we are moving back into top ten for a big, it better be Zach Collins, not Lauri Markkanen.

I am still not convinced that either is a bonafide starter in the NBA. Time will tell . . .

Well, there is a massive difference between penciling in the 10th pick in the draft as NBA starter before they even play a game over legit starting level NBA players. MCW, Anthony Bennet, Mario anyone?
