The poster actually put a lot of work into it and it's interesting if you want to read it. It heavily weighs contested shots into the mix (which Harden was near tops in the league at), so as a PG, I mean, there's not much value in anything but steals (which can be a gamble), contesting shots, and not letting your man drive into the paint unless it's a designed play. Harden does a lot of the latter, but was a bit better at it this year compared to years past.

There is simply not many good two way point guards, one, because it's hard to expend a lot of energy at the defensive end to be efficient at the offensive end, and two, the rules don't really let point guards be handsy and disruptive where they don't have to worry about getting cheap fouls.

As down as people were on Elfrid's defense this year (mid 30's overall), he was 11th when it came to starting points, so he's an above average defender for a starting point guard. Most backups aren't tasked to do as much and can focus on purely defense.
