I keep saying this over and over.... but sorry guys, whether you like it or not, believe it or not... Shaquille O'Neal's #32 jersey will be retired one day hanging up in the rafters.

why would we hang shaq's jersey in our arena? he just played on our team 4 years, didnt' win a championship, and dissed the city when he left.

Apparently the Jersey number switch has nothing to do with Shaq.

Lee also switched jersey numbers to honor a fallen friend before the game. He originally was assigned No. 32 by the Magic -- he had wore it through high school and college -- but asked to switch to No. 11.

Lee will honor Daniel Rumph, who wore the number when he was Lee's teammate at Western Kentucky. Rumph died of a heart condition while playing pick-up ball in 2005.

I do find it a bit odd that no one has taken #32 in the 12 years since Shaq was here.

I mean, it seems to be a historically popular number in the league.
