Nets/Magic Trade...

Post#1 » by Bigmagicfan82 » Sun Jul 13, 2008 4:24 pm

I posted this on the general board and the Nets fans like it. I think it is a great deal for the Magic and it solves our needs.

Magic Trade:

S&T Keyon Dooling

Their choice between JJ Redick and Keith Bogans (or Both)

and a future #1 pick.

Nets Trade:
S&T Nenad Krstic

and Marcus Williams

Krstic hasn't been the same since his injury, no thanks.

If we bring in Deven Harris from the trade instead of Marcus WIlliams and give us Josh Boone maybe I might consider it.

take the pick out of this deal and I'll say yes. Realisticly it will not happen because of our issue with tax.

So you are saying JJ Redick, Keyon Dooling, and a 1st round pick for Devin Harris and Josh Boone?

 Lets have them throw in Brook Lopez and Yi while were at it?

I like it without the pick.

Gives us the backup PG we need and adds another big to compete with Gortat and Auggie for playing time.

the nets aren't trading Devin Harris, they just traded an allstar FHOF PG to aquire him

if the pick was removed I would do it but don't believe each team can sign and trade a player anyway

the way I see it is Dooling is as good as gone(might very well be to the nets) and JJ is burried in the bench, so we pickup 2 areas of needs

If you do not have a valid opinion on how to make the trade better then do not comment how about that?

I'd love to get Marcus over here. Why would we take Nenad though?

To me, the first round pick is pretty valueless. We've seen what we've done with them, and it'll most likely be a late round pick at that.

The Nets have been trying without any success in unloading Marcus. His numbers as a rookie weren't great and this year they are even worst.
Give me J. Williams instead at least he knows what a real pg is suppose to do M. Williams does not. Or do you think that 2.6 assists per game is enough for the Magic to win.

NO THANKS!!!

No way. I just do not see these players as upgrades.

I'd trade Redick for Williams straight up. Williams had a couple of rough years but only because he was stuck behind Jason Kidd. He's still really talented and only 22 and is the big pg that we need.

Marcus Williams is not the big pg we need. He's big, but doesn't play like it.

I would like to get one of Nets bigs for Dooling though. Sean Williams or Josh Boone.

First, the Net don't do that trade. Second, Josn Boone is sure as hell not going to push Hedo to the bench. Third, Lee will not be our back PG.

The original trade posted is also a no in my book.

you definitely don't know that for a fact...there is actually a good chance now that Dooling is not coming back, that this is exactly what Otis and SVG have in mind...
