Sports Accidents

Post#1 » by glennathan » Fri Aug 15, 2008 5:25 am

I got thinking about the Shaun Livingston accident b/c people on here have brought it up numerous time about the possibility of aquiring him. That got me thinking about the worst sports injuries I have ever seen and after watching some of the Olympic Events I got reminded of this event. I am curious to see what everyone thinks of this.

Damo I think you took the gold with that picture reel. That was disgusting. But you got to admit mine is not to fun either.

Now I might get some heat for showing this on here but I think this is one of the most painful sports injuries I have ever seen. Keep in mind this is not for the weak at heart.

The reason that Eduardo one is SOOOO bad is his leg was completely planted when the guy snapped it. I remember watching that game and I nearly threw up when I saw it on the replay - I've seen some bad injuries but that was the worst.

One of my mates actually had his leg snapped in a similar way to alot of these vids - in mid air someone connecting with it - he was kicking for goal in rugby and some guy came to block it and ran his leg through him. The noise was not pretty.

I remember watching that on TV DmannOC. That was nasty as well. Damo I still think you get the gold because of the way you can see the foot separate from the leg. I would not want to hear the actual sound of the injury.

This is the injury we all expected.

Just trying to think of non-break related injuries.

That javelin judge that got speared through the neck - that was pretty damn bad.

Footballer drops dead on the pitch.

Player has siezure on pitch - I think he did actually survive though.

This is a pretty horrible one from Hockey - I am sure many of you have seen

Luckily for him, one of the medical staff had actually fought in a war and done on battle field repairs to massive wounds like this, think he managed to actually get in and close the artery or whatever himself and basically save his life.

That joke was done on Redick, so it would just be unoriginal now.
