Need help: Leg Sleeves?

Post#1 » by CourtsideTV » Wed Aug 20, 2008 11:04 pm

Hi guys,

I posted this on OT but I think people won't take the thread seriously. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here wears leg sleeves when playing sports. Does it really help?

Reason I started thinking of buying a pair is because I dove for a loose ball when playing on an indoor hardwood court and my shin is bruised badly. Do they give any protection against bruises and kicks?

Any info would be appreciated.

This is the best one I found so far:

$30 is a lot for 'socks' so I'm really having a hard time justifying spending that much.

I recommend these (in Kelly Green). Only 7 bucks. A recession steal!

Also, if it means anything, Dwyane Wade recently made the transition to crotchless panties.

thanks R. I'm either going to get high socks or the leg sleeves. The problem with high socks is that they might not go all the way up to the area just below the knee caps comfortably so thats why I was contemplating the leg sleeves where you can move it up or down.

I'll probably go with the zensah's because they are a few bucks more and the website does a great job selling them to me. haha.

Time to go eat some PROTEIN

would you be allowed to wear a leg or arm sleeve in a typical H.S. game? anytime ive ever played in a league had us take off anything like that... rubber bands... etc. I ask because my brother is starting H.S. and is likely to make a team (fresh, JV, or V) so i was going to get him something like that, but i don't know if he'd even be able to wear it.

Update not that it matters but I opted out of the leg sleeves and picked up some under armour socks that go almost knee high. Leg sleeves would've been a pain and I don't need them that bad. i was just contemplating due to a small injury I suffered when diving for the ball and even still they wouldn't help as much.
