Dwight to wear Superman shoes/other tie ins

"Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard, who won the all-star dunk contest last season wearing a Superman outfit, has officially aligned with his alter ego in a working relationship with the comic-book trademark.

He says he will wear the Superman emblem on the back of his basketball shoes in games, with more marketing tie-ins to come."

We should make a big push for Dwyane Wade. Than we would have Superman, Batman, and Flash. Superfriends, here we come!

(As a side note, can we make Rashard's nick-name The Green Lantern? Get it? Green? Like money! Oh man, I crack myself up!)

Dwight as superman probably would be better than that piece of rubbish they called the last superman movie.

Rashard Lewis as Green Lantern could be fairly appropriate. Green Lantern's powers can be described as long range mostly, but when needed they are potent up close in hand to hand combat as well, they work off of willpower and resembles your imagination and personality, Also Rashard does have a lot more green than anyone else on the team right now, so it's definately the best superhero name to him ha ha.

A bit more detail from John Denton... as to be expected:

"Howard's new model of Adidas shoes feature a "Superman" logo on the back and the tongue of the shoe has "Superman" written across it. Howard won the NBA's Slam Dunk contest last February in New Orleans by dunking while wearing a blue "Superman" shirt and a red, flowing cape.

In the days following the Slam Dunk contest, Howard and his representative team met with Adidas bosses to formulate plans for a Superman-themed advertisement and shoe line.

Howard's stardom is clearly taking off after winning the dunk contest last winter and an Olympic gold medal with Team USA this summer. He's already filmed commercials for Adidas, McDonald's and Got Milk? this summer."

Or we can go the cheaper route and bring back the original, Darrell 'Flash' Armstrong. 8-)

Hey, I liked it. Maybe you prefer Tim Burton's vision of an all-black suit, or J.J. Abrams' Krypton never blew up and Jor-El committed suicide script. I'll take Superman Returns any day.
