wrong...he might not be lock down, but he's considered a quality defender league wide for a reason...

no he doesnt...you just dont like him and think he needs to be...one of the better 3 point shooters and defenders in the league...quiet, focused, dedicated and ready to do whatever is asked of him on a small salary...i could see where you would want to trade him...not to mention that we might have better options next season when his salary is coming off the books than we would if we traded him now...

JJ and Cook are the traceable assets at this time...Sign Dwayne Jones and Trade JJ+Cook for another piece, call it a day...

I know Keith is regarded as a decent defender....

But doesn't it seem like we were murdered by other teams SG's last year????

I mean, the elite players are gonna get theirs....but.....

I'd just like to find a stat of opposing SG's PPG against us last year......

I, in no way shape or form, think Keith Bogans is one of the better defenders in the league.

I think the rule changes have limited what a perimeter defender can do over the years (hand checking is an example), so there are not many "lock-down" defenders as we've thought about them in the past. But that perception of what makes a very good defender still is in many people's minds.

The league has implemented changes to both the front and back courts as to what can be done defensively to increase the scoring, aka make the game more exciting.

Keyon, who many thought was a very good defender, wasn't a lot more effective than KeBo, imo. Same goes for Mo last year.

:hoping theTHIEF never hears me saying JJ can defend as well as Bogans:

Really though, Bogans checks out ok on defensive +-, so he has that going for him. And if you consider how bad most guys are in this league, I guess it's not too much of a stretch to say he is above average.

It's kind of surprising that people think Bogans is an "average" defender.

That's routinely the only thing he's been touted as being good at since he started playing ball even at UK.

Bogans definitely is one of the better defenders of the league and of our roster. I'd rather trade away JJ than Keith.

Wow I love it. We win 50 games, finish 4th in the east, and completely trounce Toronto in the first round, yet we're not even the favorite to win our own division.

Ask Chris Bosh what he thinks of Dwights "soft" D .

I stopped even caring after that Dwight rip, but then I really knew he was crazy when he said we don't have significant enough outside shooting, I doubt he even watched any of the SE division games.

Oh well, more fuel for the fire.
Whether you think you CAN or you think you CAN'T, you're right.

I'm not saying Keith is bad....

I just really, really, really don't think he's one of the best defenders in the entire NBA.....

I'm going to pay more attention to him when he's on the floor, then maybe i'll see what some of you guys are saying...

If he's a great defender, then that must make the Pietrus signing redundant...

(I know, you can never have TOO MANY good defenders)......

I wouldn't say he's a great defender ... I would say a good defender.

Agreed...

I respect everyone's opinion....because like I said, I probably haven't paid Kebo enough attention.....

But I just cannot agree with the statement that he is a top tier NBA defender.

By no means is he a scrub either. He's a solid role player.
