sf-lewis,pietrus,bogans
pf-thomas,lewis,cook
c-dwight,gortat,foyle

lineup if suns trade
pg-nash,johnson,lee
sg-pietrus,bogans,lee
sf-hill,tucker,lewis,

Hell, if Phoenix is offering a former back-to-back MVP, I call up SA and tell them, look, Duncan or bust.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Well, those are interesting ideas. They would be win now type trades as both guys are fading stars, but stars non the less.

Two years of a healthy Manu next to Dwight would be awesome, and more than worth getting rid of Turk. Plus the Spurs trade would give us like 17 million plus in expiring contracts for 2010/11, and we could lure a guy like Bosh to play next to his boy. Or something like that, I'm just thinking off the top of my head.

I'm not sure I like the Nash trade as much...

Sounds like Otis just busted your friend if they're really friends with him.

Obviously was a test to find the mole leaking his information.

LOL, I can't possibly see us getting Manu or Nash without us getting anally raped in the deal.

i think either trade would be good for us... if it were to pass, however I have one question/ complaint....

Why does everyone around here think that Bosh would be so good for us?

All that would happen is that both Bosh and Howard's numbers would go down... not that we start scoring 120 ppg and holding opposing teams to like 80...

I guess that having them both down low would really take away opposing team's ability to take it to the hole or drop it down low, but still... i dont really see the fireworks.

I mean look at Bosh and J.O. now, not that great

Curry and Randolph, Fail

olajuwon and samson, couldn't get it done

Bynum and Gasol... eh still a toss up but neither is REALLY putting up all-star numbers and if you take away all the LA hype, they're are just two above-average players.

JO is not a post player on offense. Dwight is. Bosh and Dwight would be amazing. We don't have a Kobe Bryant to take the ball out of there hands. They'd both get over 20 a game, draw fouls at an amazing rate and they compliment each other perfectly. And, we EASILY be the best rebounding team in the league. Bosh is a very good help defender too.

oh for sure we'd be the best rebounding team in the league, we'd probobly have to most BPG also... I just got tot thinking about those experiments tho and it doesnt seem to work that well... like if you have a stud at C, you just need a specialist (blocks/rebounds) at PF and vice versa to make it all work...

They're not great comparisons:

Curry, Randolph - lazy, me first players. Hardly a great start for success.
Bosh, JO - They aren't doing bad as a combo, but the rest of their team, bar Calderon, is pretty poor. Plus JO is attempting a comeback from injury and is new in Toronto. Give them time, they'll be better.
Olajuwon, Sampson - both out and out centers. I wasn't there to witness their pairing, but in the wrong system, no matter how good the player, that won't work.
Bynum, Gasol. Another 'new' pairing who need time. Also, they are both also out and out centers. Neither has the body to play the 4.

If we saw a Dwight/Bosh combo, you would see a near perfect example of a high-post/low-post big man combo. Two of the most athletic young bigs in the game, one a bruising interior player, one a quick, highly skilled face-up guy. Their games are exceptionally different, and would likely compliment each other very well.

I seriously doubt we get Manu or Nash. There is no chance that goes through. Would be amazing if we did having nash start and nelson off the bench. Or having Hedo start and bringing Ginobli off the bench. Either one is a drastic improvement but not happening unless Either Rashard or Howard goes.

As far as getting Dwight/Bosh I could possibly see that being like a Robinson/Duncan lineup but not as good. Dwight = watered down Robinson and Bosh = watered down Duncan. Having a front court of Lewis, Bosh, and Howard would be incredible. Personally I would rather us make a move for James or Wade. Not saying we would get either one but I would like us to attempt. I could imagine 1 season with James and Howard on the same team

Diminishing returns do happen.

In the case of Howard and Bosh though, this is being overblown. Bosh scores a lot of his points off of his jump shot, and he is great off the dribble. Dwight plays in the post. So Bosh may not have the range that Lewis has, but he does have range. He has a TS% of .618 while being used on 26.7% of the Raptors plays while he is on the court. That is phenomenal offensive efficiency, and I don't see how having a dominating post presence in Dwight would interfere with that. Also, being able to run 50% of our plays through those two guys when they are both on the court together would be absolutely sick imo.
