Just wondering what you all think...
Cook/JJ/Foyle/2nd
for
Gooden
Gooden is the defensive-minded, rebounding big man with a nice J to bring off the bench next to battie or possibly start
I dunno why chicago would LOVE it necessarilly, but it's not that bad for them.

it wont happen. I like the Idea of having gooden back because he is a decent player. I do not see it happening because Chcago really does not need a Foyle type of player. They have Aaron Gray who does that. If you take out the 2nd round pick and replace it with the rights to Fran then I would like it more.

Chicago also has a glut of SGs already, JJ would not be any benefit for them. Foyle probably wouldn't play much unless he beats out Gray but they are very similar. Not sure about Cookie fitting into their offense though.

Re: Orl/Chi
not sure if you remember but we got rid of gooden because he wasnt the greatest influence off the court, they wanted him nowhere near dwight and even though dwight is what he is now im sure they dont want him back.... not going to happen

I agree it would be nice to have Gooden's skills back in Orlando.
But I might consider a trade with Milwaukee to get Charlie Villanueva. He's very comparable to Gooden, although not as athletic. He can hit the 17-foot jump shot and rebound. I wish his FG% was higher, but he'd do well here, I think.

Defensive minded?
Oh man, if only.
Drew has extremely low defensive IQ and often turns his head when players front him. He can rebound and shoot 15-footers. He's solid in the post, but settles for long jumpers constantly which annoys me tremendously.
Looking at the Magic roster, I can only agree with Charlie Villanueva. You'd have one of the most versatile shooting line-ups in the league.

Selfelosha would be a good player to try to get...just don't know what the Bulls would ask for that we'd want to give up.

Re: Orl/Chi
wow really??? I didn't know D Good was a bad influence off the court...
i don't mean to bring up stuff thats probobly been discussed to extent, but what kind of stuff was he into?
Also, to the bulls poster, i had no idea he was lazy on defense... with all this considered, charlie V would be really great for us... dunno if we have the pieces for him tho.

Keith Bogans for Sefolosha & Michael Ruffin? (Ruffin added for salary puposes)
We need players who can score/shoot. Bogans fit this bill better than Sefolosha and we could use a 6'5 SG who doesn't suck.

It's not laziness per se. It's his lack of understanding of where to be and how to do things. I'm not saying he doesn't get lazy, he does. But with Gooden you can pretty much tell he's clueless when it comes to broken plays and he has no idea how to guard superior players who has more than two post moves in their arsenal.
What's weird is he has games where he looks pretty good. But most of the time, it's players missing point blank range and thus lowering their percentgaes.
