Funny how 1 week will change a team's outlook..

- First it was Atlanta talking about how if they can take 2 from the Magic, it will be a fight for the Southeast title. Now they are 8 games out and that thought is out the windows.
- Then I keep reading how Orlando was closer to losing their 43 seed to Atlanta and Detroit than getting a #2 or even #1 seed. Now everyone including all the so-called experts are talking about the reality of Orlando getting the #1 seed.

A sign of the Magic possibly winning the east is the schedule. The Cavs and Celtics have yet to play the hardest part of their schedules, while the Magic are about to finish up their hardest part at the end of January. That means, baring injury, the Magic will have a pretty easy ride for the last 3 months of the season. If they continue to play at this high level, stay healthy and they don't play down to their competition, they have a great chance to win the east, especially if Boston and Cleveland slip up during their hard stretches.
