Caron Butler is pretty much a guarantee to miss 20 or so games a season.

No thanks.

Love Hedo.. but if Otis thinks he might bail on the magic for more money this would be a good deal imo.

I always liked Butler, I also like Hedo.

I think it would be a good trade for both sides. If Washington want some expiring contracts is the right choice.
It would would be a good trade for the Magic because Butler has a good contract and he is still very young.

You do when it makes your team a lot better.

Sadly, something like this would never happen.

I'm going to go ahead an assume you've never seen Butler play a game that wasn't against Orlando.

Butler is twice, if not 3 times, if not 10 times better on defense than Hedo has ever been and will ever be. Even this year, when Caron clearly doesn't care on offense or defense, he's still better at both than Hedo is, and this is the worst Butler's played in half a decade.

Why would the Magic trade Hedo for another SF???

Butler is not x-times better than, so the proposed trade is a real concern for team chemistry than it is an upgrade of talent.

I would do this without hesitation. One, we may lose Hedo for nothing. Are any of us really 100% sure that he will resign with us in the offseason? No so if u can get value like Caron Butler for him, than I say u have to do it. Butler is a much better defensive player and is just as good of an offensive player as Hedo. I doubt making a trade where we basically trade Hedo and Bogans for Butler would mess up team chemistry. Butler has never caused problems anywhere.

I highly doubt WSH would do this unless they really want cap room. Trading within the division almost never happens but if the Wizards were interested in this trade, I say we must do it.

I would like to see butler come to the magic but there is no sure thought whether hedo would come back or not. The only way I think we can "guarantee" that hedo resigns is by winning the NBA championship.

cleveland, boston and miami are willing to clear some cap space and asked otis to trade lbj, garnett and wade for hedo, bogans and filler. otis has a tough task to pick which trade he is going for...

trades without legs.. they're flying all over the place...

No way in hell Washington does this, but if we could Butler for Hedo who is expiring and Bogans then there is no way that the magic pass this up.
