Who was this Nelson guy that got injured again? I don't see what all the fuss was about again. I guess people forgot how amazing Anthony Johnson was.

I think Stern should replace Jameer with AJ based on this game alone..

Jokes aside, nobody could've guessed this was going to happen, even if we're playing the LA Cripples..

AJ seemed to have found the fountain of middle age. He's playing out of his mind.

can we just start a "Official I'm A Fickle Fan" thread and be done with it?

i still don't think this means he turned the corner. there's another 34 games to go after this. you reckon AJ will average 20ppg?

that said.... damn.... this is like when he catches a defender sleeping, and he slashes to the hoop for a powerhouse 2 hand slam (i've seen him bust out a few of those this season). except he's doin it to the entire public that doubted him.

AJ looks great. Absolutely great today.

However, the question obviously with AJ is that he is 34 yrs old and can he consistently play even at a decent level? With that said, gotta give him props. He came out tonight on a mission with something to prove.

Hawks' fan here...

AJ played well for Atlanta last year before the Bibby trade. He can still give 20-30 good minutes a night...

He's still got a long way to go. Great start though.

It's alright most will flip flop when he goes for 4 points and 4 assists at some stage.

Like some of the organisation says he's a smart/clever player, I mean he's always been there or there abouts in the league for assist to turnover ratio. He can step into starting lineups and do a respectable job - and when he isnt feeling it he isnt the dude to force up shots [on a mass basis].

His game is still ugly as all hell, and thats gotta be one of the least good looking 25 points I've seen in a while lol. But he'll do what the coaches ask of him, and as we saw last night he'll bust himself to try and do more. While we work out what we got and what we can do thats nothing short of the best we can ask for.

He may not be the prettiest player out there, but damn glad he's there instead of Arroyo.

Well, it's a little easier to shoot like that when there is nobody within 10 feet of you for the whole game. Just sayin'.

I still hate AJ. I hate the guy so much that everytime he hit a shot last night, I couldn't even be happy about it. That's how much I despise him as a player.

What's worse is now that he had that great game last night, he'll buy himself more time as the starter. Yuck.

Way to support your team

BTW - What vile thing has he done to you, or your family, to engender so much hatred?

Well, Iw as happy for the team, just not for AJ. Everytime it went in I was like "NOO! Why couldn't someone else have made the shot!" :D

I just know its basically fools gold and you now know he's gonna be less than sucky for the next 4-5 games and then this thread will vanish mysteriously.
