They have 6 turnovers and are up by 15. They started off with red hot shooting. If it's going to change for us, it needs to happen in the 2nd quarter.

Two simple things this team needs are a playable third big and a backup PG, nothing special at either spot, just an average veteran backup guy. Had hoped Bamba would be that, but by preseason that idea went out the window for Mo.

In regular season he is extremely important

Some of Maxey 3s are looking short, i think is probable that the guy is playing too many minutes

Maxey as an alpha, without Embiid is mostly a borderline star 20ppg player who can explode from time to time.

Martin is horrible too

No one can create a shot and if the 3s aren't falling the offense looks like this.

I presume House is still out along with Jojo, Soringer and Oubre?

I really don’t mind Embiid missing this game, Valancunius has always gone after Jo’s legs with his hefty frame.

We are missing Oubres speed mixed with his length everyone else is either slooow or undersized.

Embiid size and skill makes up for our roster mostly composed of tweeners and stiffs

I like what Nurse has done with the team but the double digit deficit is basically on him for playing 7 minutes of Morris/Mamba at center when the Pels have Jonas. The entire starting line up has horrible +/- because of that stupid line up at the begining of the game

I concur but i'm also sure teams didn't game plan for him to like they do now. There's a difference between being a good player and that guy that teams gameplan their defense around.

These games without Embiid are a barometer to see where he's at as far as being able to carry a team as the alpha.

He's the only viable creator without Joel and he's also adapting to the new reality of getting game planed for.

The idea that a 2 game sample allows you to reach any conclusion about maxey is ridiculous

Nurse may need to pull the plug early if this continues to be a $hitfest. We're down 20 but it feels like 40. They are beating us on everything. Pels are a good team.

Our guys look lackadaisical, Maxey looks gassed. I have a feeling we could be headed towards a losing streak with guys missing games and being sick. Who knows? This could drag on for a week or two.

And even with his three point shot being off Maxey put up 15, which would have been 17 if not for that terrible call at the end of the first quarter.

Last game and this one Tobias is in a terrible slump. It happens to him whenever Tobi starts thinking too much.
