Hopefully, some guys are around now for this Flyers run, and see how the city embraces a team that places hard and smart.

Hey Sixerfan1976,

did you hear something about Hassan Whitside. Do we try to get a mid-1-Rounder? I think he's a very nice prospect for C-spot. I would have him rather than Aldrich, cause I think he has much more Upside...

Hey Sixerfan 1976,

Thanks for the inside tips! Will the 76ers brass take a look at Hamady Ndiaye (http://www.scarletknights.com/basketball-men/news/release.asp?prID=8896) as a possible project for C. He might be available as UFA and he looks like he could develop the way they developed Sammy and be the same kind of shot blocker and RB. Plus as RU alum, he brings a local flair. I think we really need a Big who can really defend.

I dont know any of the players coming in....you will probably know before me.

I heard Chad Ford has another article up though..interesting how he writes a bunch of stuff while saying absolutely nothing.

Sixers are starting to call people about ticket plans. I got called this morning. Their marketing slogan is that new coach, Iguodala playing his natural position with a true SG coming in. Guy literally said that to me.

Anyone that still thinks FAvors or Cousins is the pick or that we are trading it needs to get their head checked:)

Iguodala was at game 4 decked out in Flyers gear.

Noticed The Villain gave a shout out to the flyers on his twitter. I like that these Chicago guys know where their bread is buttered.

Not surprising for a guy who shows up for his measurements in flip-flops. I've also read articles where he was said to be very disliked in college because he had such an over-inflated opinion of himself.

Whiteside seems like the worst case scenario of what Sammy could have been coming out of college.

That is great. Probably the one 2 Chicago guys pulling for the Flyers (I would know, living outside Chicago.) Also tells you something about hockey's fan base- as if we did not already know.

BTW- on Chicago radio they were talking about how much louder the fans are at the Philly games.

I saw the start of the "walk back" from the previous "article". Enough to where he can "claim" to have "sources" with the Sixers, but just opaque enough to say that it could all be a smokescreen.

What that tells me is that he has no sources within the Sixers org, because you can write it with assurity if you trust your source really is on the inside.

If I had to guess, I'd say that Chad's "source" (if there is a source) on the Sixers works about 75 miles up I-95 from Philly and is really unhappy about being stuck at #3 and name rhymes with Todd Florn.

Ok Ford was half right in the Indiana and Toronto talks. We have talked to both but neither conversation pertains to the #2 pick. In case you didn’t know we are taking Turner

We have inquired about the 10th pick(Indiana) and the 13th pick(Toronto).

Talks with Indiana center around Jeff Foster and the 10 pick for Lou and Thad. I don’t know who the target is at 10. Maybe they don’t even know yet. Could be Aldrich I guess.

Talks with Toronto center around Lou and Jack. Toronto has interest in Thad but needs to move Hedo first who we apparently do not want. One version I heard was Lou and Thad for Jack, Belinelli and #13. Again…I do not know who the big guy is we are targeting. I got the feeling that moving to 10-15 was going to be a lot easier than moving up to 5-9 range.

So maybe Lou is on the block or a lot more available than I previously thought.

Its all just talk right now….lots of stuff floating around..we will see what sticks in a few weeks.

Thanks for all the insights. Any idea on how strong are efforts are / our plans to sneak under the tax this year?

dont know about tax implications. I do know that we are one of the teams that talked to Cleveland about Delonte West. I would assume Lou or Green would have to be part of any such deal. That part is me speculating but we do have some interest in bringing D back to PHilly.

Won't want us to trade with Raptors...Bellini is a chucker, and I don't know if Jack would be an upgrade from Lou Will

But I guess it's safe to say we are looking to move Lou Will and Thad

Is this guy ever right about anything of substance? How the hell does he keep a job?

Glad to hear Turner's the pick. A smattering of intelligence after all. With Stefanski I guess you never know.

Hey SF- back to the topic of center after Sammy it looks like veterans aren't on the radar so am I correct in assuming we're probably going the "project" route?

i think they will draft a close to ready big man who can contribute this year some and get an advanced role next year.....or maybe the guy we get off season with some cap room is a vet big.

still exploring all options......but i think you can see the plan as i described it over the last few weeks.
