two things to "keep an eye on" today are:

Thad to Utah for Kosta Koufus and pick #9.

Thad to Memphis for Haddadi(sp?) and pick #13

Assumuing Aldrich with either pick..but I guess its possible they target someone else too if Aldrich is gone. Not sure if Aldrich is the contigent there.

Sounds like Collins really likes Lou and feels he can get Lou to become a better defender which will give him more minutes potentially.

Foster for Kapono still out there too..but that doesnt necessarily have to happen tonight since no picks are involved.

If we are drafting a big man with their pick, if it happens. Why would we want Koufus or Haddadi. Does a player have to come with the pick? Hawes and Aldrich along with Speights wouldn't be enough big men?

not sure..maybe we move jason smith somewhere.

i think utah is close to the cap so I assume thats why a player would be coming witht he pick?

dont know..honestly I know nothign about those two guys. Maybe they are just end of the bench guys.

The Utah deal for pick 9 is a good trade, but trading Thad for 13 and Haddadi has DANGER written all over it.

Wow. Are we after the record for white centers? If both of those deals went down and Aldrich was our target at #9... we would have: Aldrich, Koufos, Hawes, Foster, and Smith at center.

By the way, I love both of those trades as it gives us some more big bodies plus Foster to help tutor our youngs.

Holiday/Williams
Turner/Meeks/Green
Iguodala/Nocioni
Brand/Speights/Smith
Aldrich/Hawes/Foster/Koufos

The minutes at the 1-2-3 suddenly looks a LOT clearer rather than the logjam that currently exists.

Also... let's not forget the chance to have one of the greatest half-hour comedy shows simply by placing Speights, Aldrich, and Nocioni together on a stage and listening to them talk.

i dont think you trade kapono for foster if you trade thad.

i think one SF guy goes...maybe kapono for foster happens after the draft if we cant do anything with thad and get aldrich etc.

that rutger center and jerome jordan are the two guys in the 2nd round that we would trade into the round to get.(assuming we dont get aldrich)

If we trade Thad might as well add Larry Sanders. We need a PF. I think Cole is a big risk. If Memphis can a trade with Minnesota to get 16, I would then send the 9th pick to Memphis and pick up picks 12 and 16. You still get Larry Sanders and a backup center. :D

I find it interesting that you would start Aldrich over Hawes. Also Smith and Koufos are super duper expendable if we get Aldrich with the pick and get Foster but I don't think they will do both trades unless they feel they need a vet 5.

Meeks, Nocioni, Speights, and Hawes would be pretty nice bench. All shooters who can spread the floor. One thing is for sure, they have enough bigs for Dwight Howard.

I love Hawes' size and he has a decent enough offensive game but from what Collins has been preaching (defense), I think Aldrich would win that job.

i think if you had aldrich and hawes..they would be co-starters per say and each play 20+ minutes til one significantly outplays the other.

Can still play Brand or Speights at the 5 too if you want to go small.

We are going for a late 80's/early 90's bulls template now. Gotsta have a white center. Do you want to win a championship? need a white center. /sarcasm

interesting. Would be fine if either of those deals went down. Would still LOVE to grab Henry at 9... I didn't realize Collins was high on LWill though.

If we got the 9 and Aldrich/Henry were off the board (would be very hard to have happen) I'd probably want to work out something to trade down, maybe with OKC.

If that happens than somebody better than Aldrich/Henry slipped and we should just grab whoever that is at 9.

I still think Lou would be the number 1 bench scorer, but you did not mention him. Lou gets to the line.

SF,

Are you referring to Thabett. The number 2 pick in last years draft?
