Love porter since before. If you want a cheaper version, go for Harkless. But then the reason he's cheap is because of the risk involved

The ff. are dragging down our FG%
RoCo: (8.7FGA@.309)
Sergio (8.8FGA@.389)
Dario (9.3FGA@.388)

99 ORTG:
Embiid
Okafor
TJ

Sergio (96 ORtg)
Dario (89 ORtg)
RoCo (86 ORtg)

100 or above ORTG:
Holmes leading the pack at 112 and the rest are our shooters (Nik, ilyasova and Hollis)

Even with Dario shooting the ball last few games, his plus-minus stats are terrible. What would you say is the main reason. Him spending a lot of time playing with backups, his defense or both?

His defense, like most rookies, is awful. His offense hasn't been great either. He takes a lot of inefficient shots like long contested 2s. He also tries to make too many fancy passes that result in turnovers.
jonjames is a signature bet welcher.

I'm one of the biggest Porter fans around. However, I'd prioritize max offer sheeting KCP over him. We don't need a 2-way starting SF while Robert Covington is in town because he is that guy. We desperately need a 2-way starting SG. Which is why KCP is the much more logical target.

G - ?
G - Caldwell-Pope
F - Covington
F - Simmons
C - Embiid

^ This line-up is much closer to completing the puzzle than:

G - ?
G - ?
F - Porter / Covington
F - Simmons
C - Embiid

^ This is an elite F situation, but we still have two huge holes in the backcourt.

Is KCP an unrestricted FA next year?

Porter and KCP are both restricted free agents. Which is why we can only offer sheet them, unfortunately.

Can Detroit give KCP the the max? They gave Jackson a boatload of money. Didn't they pay Drummond? How much room do they have?

You can always spend over the cap to re-sign your own players. But yeah, Detroit's irresponsible spending leaves the possibility of KCP squirting loose.

Thinking out loud..

My proposed rotation per half

1st 6 mins
Sergio-Hendo-Roco-Saric-Biid
= most used line-up w/ +4NetRtg

2nd 4mins
TJ-nik-hollis-Saric-Okafor
= least harmful okafor line-up with good sample size w/ -4NetRtg

3rd 4mins
Sergio-Hendo-Nik-ilyasova-Okafor
= best NetRtg among line-ups with atleast 30mins
= +24NetRtg

4th 4mins
TJ-Hollis-RoCo-ilyasova-HolmeS
= ilyasova and Holmes frontcourt just -1 NetRtg, 2nd best frontcourt Duo

5th 6mins (closer)
Sergio-Nik-Hendo-okafor-biid
= best frontcourt duo
= size could compensate Nik on D
= wings interchangeable w/ Roco or Hollis

Then repeat

http://basketball.realgm.com/dleague/teams/Delaware-87ers/36/stats

8 games in...
Cat Barber

PPG - 19.5
MPG - 33.3
Steal/game - 1.5
Assist - 4.0
Rebounds - 3.9

Free Throw % - 74.4%
3 Point % - 68.8% (1.38/2.00 Attempts/made)
FG % - 51.8% (7.25/14 FGM/A)

ADV.

PER - 19.18
TS% - 60.4%

Not saying he's the next Kilpatrick/marshall guy to slip away from us and make another NBA roster... but would you consider bringing him up?
If there is a 2-1 trade soon and we have an empty roster spot?
or would you cut TJ for him...

Those are our 2 best starting 5 this season:

Image

Offense is atrocious, but defense is really elite.

If we can find an upgrade for Sergio (DRAFT 2017 more than Bayless :D ) and Cov is able to play the SG position, plug in Simmons and things will be really interesting.

Those two are also the most used lineups until today.

76ers fans I come in peace. But is it pretty much a foregone conclusion that Brett Brown will not be the coach of this team after this season? I know he was presented with a bad situation but he doesn't strike me as a Colangelo guy. Even if he makes it thru the remainder of this season do you all see him returning? Also do you guys have an idea of who may be a good fit for coaching the team if Brett does leave?

I really can't see how he can go forward to be honest I was shocked that Colangelo kept him on as coach after the rumors that he was being replaced this offseason by Dantoni and even Carlismo I believe.

Some say he is gone, and some don't. It is still up in the air.

I'm a big fan of him so far, and believe that he deserves a chance to coach a healthy Simmons and Embiid.

Unless we end the season in a demoralizing way I think we should bring him back and give him the first 20 games next year to see where we are.

Just wondering. Lucas Noguiera or Nerlens Noel?

In some ways their issues are worse than ours. Even more unfortunate is considering the number of high picks they've had recently they may not get the time to fix these issues before making a panic mistake.
