I think the Sixers took him for the same simple reason that good drafting teams do: they took him not for what he is, but for what they think he will be.

He has a lot of tools. More than most. Doug McDermott's only "plus" tool is his shooting IMO. He can do some other things adequately, but McDermott will be known as a shooter in the NBA and only as a shooter.

I figure the Sixers see multiple tools with Saric that they think can develop into elite level talents. His shooting needs work, but as long as he isn't dreadful, I guess they figure that, paired with the other skills, can make him a high quality talent. He can pass, dribble, move, good court vision, etc.

Dario's footwork needs help. Damn thought we were gona win that game. Oh well. Dario fouled us twice in the 3 pt line too btw, his youth showed big time today but I'm not worried. He always makes to good read and play. Iq is off the roof.

Truth to be told, beside those 2 fouls on 3pt line he had very nice game, a rebound shy from double-double plus some really wierd calls against him caused him to take a step back from his game in 1st half.

First half(that I watched and overtime because I had to drive my car to mechanic) Blatche was like 3/13 while being guarded by Dario and Markota. Then Dario got nervous because he is too young and inexperienced and did a couple of stupid moves like shooting two threes and fouling opponent on a three-pointer -- twice. Then Blatche decided to give a **** about his team and went into NBA mode.

Blatche shot 41.7 % from the field and 3/4 behind the arc. I guess Dario did a good job when he did guard him. Although it is a mistake to leave Dario 1v1 with seasoned NBA player like Blatche.
