Nice post move by Dario but can't finish layup while being fouled

Dario seems to have improved quite a bit over the last year.

Dario scrapping and hustling like it's his last game

Noticed he's still a little slow on reactions when defending 1v1, like the last and-1 one him

Dario not closing out the game because Ivkovic wants defense to protect the lead

Dario comes back in game with 2 min left in OT

Solid defense by Saric but better offense by Dixon

Dario's season is over. His team lost Turkish final series 1-4. Dario started the last game off the bench, scored 3 points, and fouled out in 15 minutes...

Clearly Hinkie made him play bad so his buyout would go down.

You are a Troll Monitor.
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.

Could anyone recap what was said for those of us who can't access the audio?

So much is said that it's difficult to recap, I'll listen to it again and give bullet points.

- Saric really wanted to be in Philly this upcoming season because he believes he's proven enough in the Euro league. He feels that he's ready to make the jump and that he can compete against players in the NBA, stressed again that he wants to be here.

- If it was up to him and the team he would be joining the 76ers, however, due to there not being a reasonable buyout or escape clause he couldn't. It wouldn't have made sense or of been fair to him to pay all of this extra money himself to come over.

- Turkish team was supposedly not cooperative because of his crucial role on that team and coming so close to winning it, the reason that he felt he could stay an additional season there is because he feels obligated to give them another run at the title. Again, was really stressing that he wants to be in the NBA.

- He's not a scout or an expert, but believes Saric is more suited for SF than PF. Thinks he'll struggle initially to shoot and space the floor, but he has the work ethic, determination, and confidence to develop.

- Saric wants to play for Philadelphia, assumes as soon as he's able to he will.

After that it's just whatever. He liked the Aldemir signing.

Reports I heard is that Andolou Efes was looking for a $2 M + buyout to let Saric out of his contract..

Sixers can pay $625K of that . That leaves Saric on the hook for $1.5 M out of his own pocket. Saric would make around $1.75M next year with the Sixers under his rookie deal. Basically Saric would play next year for $250k if the reports are true.

Big pay cut from Efes BUT it gets his NBA clock started immediately . Gets him that much closer to an NBA mega contract .

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
