I know Wiggins is averaging 15ppg, but this ROY race is far from over. He's not averaging 20ppg. We all know Noel leads all rookies in rebounds, blocks and steals. Noel is #2 right behind Wiggins right now.

He just needs to start getting the pub, instead of the pub being about the Sixers tank. He's improving as the season goes on and if he strings together and/or has a bunch of double doubles the rest of this season he's right there.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter in the long run. More than satisfied with Noel and his progress this year.

Last thing, does Noel's poor FT shooting have a significant affect on his PER?

Wiggins' advanced stats should ramp up in the 2nd half, as his team gets better.

Probably not too much of a negative because he has a low amount of attempts. What kills his PER stat is his FG%.

Noel will have to do something completely amazing to win ROY. Wiggins is a virtual lock because he has a more refined offensive game. Wiggins has they hype behind him from day one. He was seen as the next big thing coming out of college and in the NBA flashy dunks and being able to hit an outside shot make for good highlights. It's hard to spotlight night in and night out how Noel effected this shot and that shot even if he did not get actually get a block or forces a play to be altered. Wiggins would have to be a complete non factor in the 2nd half of the season for Noel to win. And even if Wiggins was a non factor it would still be an uphill climb for Noel. By the way I love the way Noel is progressing.

I don't care if Wiggins wins it, I think he would deserve it.

I'm just very happy with Nerlens' evolution this past months.

If Noel can master that awkward looking left handed floater of his, he's going to be pretty hard to guard on offense.

I think that his hooks are looking better recently. They still don't look natural, but they don't look as awkward as they did earlier in the season.

I am optimistic that it will be a legitimate weapon eventually.

Nerlens!!!!

Cool stat I saw elsewhere from a LB comment that I phrased differently:

Nerlens Noel becomes the fourth player under the age of 21 in the history of the NBA to put up a box score of 14-6-3-4-6 or better, joining Kevin Garnett, Tracy McGrady, and Anthony Davis.

The Eraser is here to stay.

Actually not so obscure, he became the fourth player (KG, TMac, AD) 21 or younger with at least 6 blocks and 4 steals.

I noticed after Nerlens went 7-8 the other night and his shooting % went from 42.6 to 43.6 his PER also went up from 11.2 to 12. It could've also been from all the blocks, steals and assists that game though, ha.

Scoring will win ROY and Wiggins had 33 last night. These guys that vote won't know Noel's other stats and his defense at the rim, just that he struggles on offense.

It doesn't matter to me who wins ROY, but would like to see any positive press towards Philly we can get.

Also, I've said it many times on here. Wiggins looks like a little kid out there. Once he grows into his body and adds some lbs look out. Easy 25+ ppg in this league.

Wiggins deserves it but man am I happy with the improvement Nerlens has shown over the past month. Good job by him and the coaches.

People keep worrying about the fit on offense with him and Embiid but the fit on defense is going to be absurd.
The feedback I've received from our fans is they understand we are trying to build something great. Good decisions come from having a broad set of options and making tough calls. We will do it unblinkingly. We have to be willing to take smart risks-Hinkie

4th actually. KJ and Grant have good scores too. MCW doesn't have a great DBPM but grades out as a top 5 defensive PG in PER against and ESPN's RPM: http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_ ... position/1" target="_blank

Gotta love the defense being built here.

Fourth, you say? On Basketball Reference, it looks like he's 6th behind Bogut, Duncan, Gobert, Green and Allen.

Oh, that's because Bogut and Allen are under 1000 minutes played.

I find this scrollable page more useful than the leaders page.

Free throw percentage, BB wants Noel at 60%, right now he's at 55% on the season...

Oct/Nov 40.7%
December 60%
Jan/Feb 60%
