Really glad that happened, now we don't have to speculate about signing him in FA. It was never going to happen realistically.

Serious overpay by Golden State. I would have assumed that Thompson's value was in the 12-14 million per year range. I expect the Spurs and Leonard to come to terms to a similar deal before the end of the season. Now we can move onto Durant and whoever else is a free agent in 2016, though it's highly unlikely we sign anyone major.

This is why I think that you have a significantly better chance of landing an impact player in the draft than you do in free agency. Hopefully this will also shut up the anti-tankers for a while.

I'm glad to see Golden state threw that money away, and don't have to worry about the 76ers going that route. If the Warriors were going to pay him like a superstar, they should have just agreed to trade him for Kevin Love.

If we are going to spend some money I hope it's on Kawhi Leonard. He fits our rebuild perfectly. He is only a few months older than MCW. Already has won championships and excelled at the highest level under Greg Popovich. He is familiar with Brett Brown and our system, culture and his demeanor fits perfectly in this city . He would be a great veteran influence for KJ Mcdaniels and our potential 2015 draft wing Oubre or Johnson. Can you imagine Oubre 7'2 paired with Kawhi 7'3 wingspan on the wings or paired with Johnson's tenacity and winning mentality .

I like Dragic. He'll probably get paid this summer. I doubt 3 PGs is viable long term for phoenix, so he may be willing to leave this summer or possibly available for trade this year.

But do you think Hinkie's going to spend big money on a PG? He seems to view them as replaceable.

Thats the point right now he isnt worth so much. He can shoot the ball and i believe would fit next mcw, plus he can also handle the ball. At some point we need a guy who can shoot, Burks gone, klay gone, who is left,?

If we did target Dragic, I wouldn't be mad at it to be honest. He would be a really nice fit with MCW and is a serviceable defender.

The sixers would be fools to give the max to a dude averaging 13 points a game. Kawhi fits that system with stars like Parker, Duncan, and Manu. There is nothing I've seen that says he could be a top dog.

I doubt we'd get Dragic at a discount. Given his past play in the NBA and in international competitions, he's a known quantity and has value, even if his numbers this year are not up to his usual standards because of small ball in Phoenix. There will be teams with money. I think he'll get his. As in most cases, if you want elite talent in free agency, you gotta pay top dollar.

There's no way we're targeting Dragic. The group Hinkie assembled is a young one. Adding Dragic just doesn't fit the long lens this organization uses.

Losing Klay hurts...he was the perfect fit to the current roster.

While I agree, there was no way in hell GS wasn't matching any offer sent Klay's way.

How can you lose someone you never had a chance at getting anyway? Did we "lose" Lebron this past offseason?

Sixers needs to buy experience if they want to make a run in 2015. They don't need anymore youth. They are already too young, you need leaders to give a team an identity. The best place to have experience is at the PG position.

I think the Sixers should really go after Rondo. I don't know if they are even in the mix about it but he is the perfect guy for them to add to their team. He's 28 with plenty of experience and in the perfect position to get value from that experience.

Keep Wroten and/or MCW (I'd say keep Wroten and trade MCW) as a backup to learn under Rondo. KJ, Hollis, Saric can become the 3pt shooters at the SG/SF/PF. Draft a 3 and D SF. Keep Noel, Embiid, Sims. That's your 10.

If you trade MCW then I'd suggest trading him for Draymond Green/Harrison Barnes. Then use the next pick to get the best player available. If not trading then pick up Mario Hezonja in 2015 draft.

How would everybody feel about signing Reggie Jackson? Then have a really tall foursome of combo guards, tho only one true point in mcw.

I see us signing Reggie then having a taller, bigger, longer defensive version of the suns backcourt.

Gotta overpay him to get the Thunder to not match. No thanks.
